Honestly I kinda like the idea of the community KNOWING which COD games are coming for the next few years. Much like the film industry. It’s not like any COD release is a surprise anyways, they always get leaked LONG before they’re announced, and we always know which devs are making the next COD game regardless of how much Activision fucks things up. In my opinion, it’s a lot better than waiting until late July/August for any official confirmation/teasers on the next COD game

Just had a revelation: gulf war would be a sequel to the Cold War era of black ops 2 and the cod2025 would be a sequel to the 2025 segment of black ops 2

Here’s what I’m wondering, how would they even gonna make the storyline Black Ops Gulf War without playing any of the main BO characters?? Let me explain, as you guys already know, BO2 setting was in 1986 to 1989 and for David, it’s 2025 right? Gulf war happened a year later in 1990 to 1991. In the story so far, Alex Mason is “presumed” to be dead, but he wasn’t at the end. Hudson was KIA during the interrogation, meanwhile Woods and David are alive, but Woods can’t operate anymore because of Menendez shot his legs with a Spas 12. David however, would’ve been 12 to 13 years old during the Gulf War, so he’s WAY too young to serve (He was born in 1979). So my guess is they’re gonna bring back Alex Mason but Woods and David don’t know about it.

I think cod should stay boots on ground for now like they are, and AW2 (or prob just called AW again) would be the perfect re-introduction for futuristic cod, especially with how good the graphics are nowadays. Such a game could be stunning

I feel like a sequel to black ops 2 would actually do well compared to mw3. Mw3 is way too similar across the board; same UI, same characters, same time period, etc. a gulf war game vs a black ops 2 futuristic game would have to be different in those aspects.

I really hope we get AW 2. Was my first CoD, though I watched my dad play games before it, like BO1 and 2, I liked the zombies, and I liked the MW OG survival maps. Yall have had your fun with boots on the ground for years. Let us futeristic boost jump players have some fun. CoDs mechanics have gotten stale anyway, would be fresh and new. Without the pay to win system, it could be a lot of fun.

I honestly believe 2025 CoD is being developed by Raven Software as after Sledgehammer co-developed 2011's MW3 they joined into the next CoD Year Cycle with AW and they were likely planning something similar with 2020's being co-developed by Sledgehammer and Raven but it then ending being instead co-developed by Treyarch and Raven due to conflicts between Raven and Sledgehammer becoming Black Ops Cold War a BOII prequel and then both studios splitting to make BOII sequels as Gulf War is a sequel to Cold War sections of BOII and as Raven's BOII Sequel to the Modern Sections

The only thing Modern warfare beats Black ops on is the camo challenges because it was stupid in cold war how you had to get 100 headshots with a bolt action sniper rifle. I mean for controller players its really harsh.

COD used to be such a great game. I won’t waste the money until they give us the MW2 multiplayer remastered that we have all been asking for, but ya know, video game developers never give you want you want.

Those cod warzone campaign, are the most popular games they ever made. Mostly be around 2 to 4 hours campaign just like modern warzone 3.

The reason is actually pretty simple: there is a lot of redundant staff due to the acquisition (accounting, PR, etc.)

It sucks that so many people are losing their jobs. The thing that people need to realize, is that this happens in all mergers and acquisitions. They purchased an entire publisher. MS is eliminating redundant positions. I'd guess it's not many devs and more of the admin side.

I’m really hoping for Advanced Warfare 2. The advanced movement games were the most fun and the weapons were actually unique and interesting. I’ll probably play Titanfall 2 until Advanced Warfare 2 comes out but man I know it would be good.

I just want advanced movement back… double jump and wallrunning is peak FPS gameplay and I will take this belief to my grave. Titanfall2 was the greatest game of the decade and BO3 has been my favorite COD released so far.

I can’t believe they already have the next 4 titles already lined up for call of duty. Only questions I have is when will we see call of duty on game pass, and will we ever see another ghost game I’m all for advance warfare and black ops and future call of duty games but seems like there main focus right now is only modern warfare and black ops when there is a ton of other call of duty titles just as good but that’s just me.

Imagine if Activision brought in one more studio to support COD games going into the future years. Like imagine if we STILL were getting Bo2 updates, Bo3 zombies dlc, warzone 1 updates, next gen ports every year, and keeping cheating in old games out, all while MW3 flops how it did. I think MWIIII will be the end of TF-141 but they won’t stop making MW games. They have built a lot of opportunities for games with the many factions they had in multiplayer, warzone, and campaign. Los Vaqueros, The Jackals, Chimera, Shadow Company, etc.

I would like them to try their hand again at another futuristic COD game. We have had so many boots on the ground games where I am actually getting kind of bored and they are clearly running out of boots on the ground settings to do. We have been on this boots on the ground phase since COD WW2 and that game was a while ago. Im so ready for a new futuristic shooter. That sub-genre of fps games has been pretty dead for a while now and not seen many new games being made in it. I'm ready and I think most COD fans are ready

what happened is that microsoft bought bethesda, said they would go hands off and let them do their thing, they release shit games, and now microsoft is like "aight, guess i need to take the wheel and dish out some discipline." they canceled the survival game because its been in "development" for 6 years and they have nothing to show for it, so it was probably going to be shit
