Learning how to be a successful entrepreneur isn’t easy. It takes coach ability, a strong work ethic, and a good attitude. After his advice, no resume is needed to be successful. Ben Rubenstein is an entrepreneur who has extensive experience in founding data-driven organizations, online marketing and lead conversion, and building large inside sales teams. As a founder of Yodle, he grew the company to over 1,500 employees and 55,000 small business customers, resulting in a $342 million exit. As a founder and CEO of Opcity, in 4 years Ben scaled the organization to over 700 employees, over 100,000 agents, and a $210 million exit to Realtor.com. Ben has been recognized as a member of the INC 30 under 30, the Empact 100, Austin Inno's 50 on Fire, Austin Business Journal’s Best CEOs, and is proud of leading Opcity & Yodle to be named “Top Workplaces” in Austin. He was also named an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for 2018. Ben is currently the CEO of Opcity, a technology platform that uses large proprietary data sets and applied analytics to match top agents with qualified home buyers and sellers in real-time with no upfront cost. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Basically, because of over-saturation, your personality actually matters. Imagine that!

putting in those extra (unpaid ) hours is a sure fire way for a sweatshop culture. if they define success by how many hours you put in and not by the results then this is NOT a place you want to work or be associated with. i guess it makes sense in a law firm where its billable hours uber alles but in most cases no. results not time wins the day

I hate the fact that we are going to have to work for multiple companies to survive.

So, you do not look at anyone's online portfolio, consider experience or talk to their references. Sounds like your hiring team is just lazy and is setting you up for a high turnover. Next time you talk, keep the microphone away from your beard.
