OMG!!! I can't stand all these changes. Linda Vater is taking off all of Aug. too, I won't have anything to watch. The French take off Aug too so I guess that is apropos. Yes, I am freaked out. I feel like something is happening, the way the world is is causing all this. People need breaks because the world is too much right now. I am sad.I know it takes a lot to ready a video, so maybe you can just do a seasonal and then the talks. I am not fond of Instagram, but photos are nice. I wish I could get that mower for my sis who mows alone her over an acre. She is 71, in perfect shape but she needs a break, as you do.

Hi Angela, I’ve been eyeballing a birch mattress topper for 2 years now. We bought our house in 2022 and couldn’t afford the birch at the time so we settled for the Costco… womp womp… We are now able to make a purchase and figured I could try the topper for now. All of my children moved out by the time they were eighteen n Nineteen there all married n have beautiful children ...But one he's single lives alone in his own home n very happy not married . Im proud of them all my Lord has been very good to me ...I thank him everyday 🙏

Years ago i was given a poor health diagnosis. I suddenly thought about the life i wanted to live. The night of the diagnosis i was reading a magazine article about a family who moved to a french farmhouse and it captured my imagination. I remember thinking i want a life like that and i dont want to leave my children motherless. I never forgot about that article. Years later (still thinking about that article) i was doing a google search on french farm and you came up. Ive been a fan ever since. My health has taken a turn for the better thank God and i have truly been inspired to live beautifully by your content. Just wanted to say i love your content and its really special to me. Take all the time you need and enjoy the creative process.

I remember when my older brother left for college. We lived in CALIF. He was going to ARIZ. my parents would go in our backyard a lot and sit at the picnic table and talk as the time neared for him to leave. My brother and I have 11 yrs age difference. One of the times they were having a picnic discussion, I was on the swing set. I remember to this day my Dad looking at my Mom and saying “ We gave him his wings, we taught him to believe, we hoped for the best and prayed that he’d fly, and here we are. He will be ok.” I will never forget that talk.

Oh gosh, I cried for a couple of weeks when my oldest moved an hour away....broke my heart! When they are able to move out on their own you know you have done a great job raising them. You will be missed but understand the break you are needing.

I remember how touching your family videos are…1. Your oldest son making bread. 2. Your kids when you moved into your home and the keys. 3. You…in labor walking the driveway with your friends. 4. Joel and you and the sled dragging the sink thru uneven terrain. 5. The lake baptism. 6. Your list of homeschooling favorites. 7. Drives with the lake in view. 8. Your outtakes at the end❤. I am 63. Three grown daughters and we homeschooled /unschooled. So bittersweet when they leave the nest. I watch you as I enjoy your style, gardens, and your focus on your family. So pretty with spirit and a sense of humor. You have taken on a lot.

I've been there 3 times. It is never easy. I often wish they were closer to home but I know they have to live their own lives. I still miss them everyday and pray God watches over them. I know we raised them right and they will survive and make their own way. And it is such a joy when they come home to visit.❤

It's all good. Joel is a gem. You deserve a break, you two!... My " girls" are 40& 38 now. As they both left home, I would go upstairs to their attic bedroom they shared, anticipating the cry I should have. I say on a bed and waited. Nothing. I sat some more and waited.. After awhile of this it hit me, " Isn't this what we raised them to do? They are both happy, busy, energetic, industrious women! I got up, went downstairs and enjoyed the feeling of well being and thankfulness of it all. Hang in there. They return and they are fruitful & multiply!

The robot mower.....They're hilarious to watch! We happened upon one mowing..or trying to mow! It clearly had finished the lawn and for some reason was 'confused' and wanted to get back to the charging station but got lost! We watched it for several minutes while we were getting the best giggle. But hey, ya do whatcha gotta do 👍👍 Don't worry so much about your vlog..people will wait for the good stuff 😄🥰 As a parent of two sons, we know what it's like to have them leave the house. In our case, both sons went directly from high school to the military...one right at the time of 9/11. Talk about crying! Ugh.....I told myself that if they could go off to serve our country, we'd probably done a pretty good job as parents. You two have done that as well....you can see it in your home life and how loving your family is with one another.

@@ParisienneFarmgirl yes. I do go back and watch a lot of your videos over. Some several times. I find your renovation if your house fascinating and love the items that you find for decor and use. I finally found me an old birdcage very similar to your big green one that I love so much. In fact for the most part, it looks to be close to the same size, with the main difference that it only has one door, instead of two. And it was not free. lol But it was a price that ai could be content with, and in good shape. I also adore your blue stove. I love seeing it in your videos. I am also always trying to figure out your paint colors. Lol

I know what homeschooling is like, I know what remodeling is like and I can’t even imagine how you have a RU-vid channel on top of all that. Take this break, you need it. I love so much that you are inspiring others to have a home that’s decorated for them and not all white and minimal, how boring some people choose to live! Your home is supposed to be a reflection of your family and the things that you love and that means something to you every piece in my home is a conversation piece and I’m sure yours is too. I am only half way thru your vlog, and I hear ya. I've been working for several years with one day off and one weekend off. Had to change it up to organize my life, present day projects and planning for retirement. It's awesome and I'm getting so much done and feel at peace. You go girl❤

Oh my goodness! My daughter and son in law just had their son move out. He left NY to go to school in Amsterdam. They have been crying for days! We raise them to be independent but when they fly it’s heartbreaking! I remind my daughter that she did a great job in raising her children (cause they forget I had children who left me too !). Life has so many twists and turns. Do what makes you happy and comfortable.

Please take a well deserved break!! I was tired for you as you put down the tile in the house then the brick in the garden (which, BTW, both look amazing)! Then when one of our kids leaves the nest it's time to regroup bc each and every one of you feel that. Be there for the younger children who will miss him not living at home (full-time) and look forward to the visits when your oldest comes home to see his family, that he misses, and to his favorite home cooked meal! After all, this is what we get them ready for and we know this, but still so darn hard when they actually move out for the first time. Enjoy the creative part now and we'll be looking forward to seeing the kitchen reveal. Meanwhile, I will enjoy your reruns! ;)

My eldest son moved out the minute he turned 18. It wasn't on good terms... The heartbreak felt like a death. I grieved as if he died. Everything began to be reconciled when he became a father two years later. As a mother of both boys and girls, it's the hardest for a boy to go. The girls stay close enough, and let you still mother them that it doesn't feel as horrible. But the boys brush off their mama. I guess that's how it's supposed to be, but super painful. I'm excited for you to have a break. I'll be here when you get back!

Okay! I understand the stress you are under. I am sorry the first born left. It is a lot for him. Over the years I have watched him having to step up when he would rather not. But that is the way of a family. It made me sad also. You have a lot going. And all the trips you make takes time away from home projects. Something has to give. I hope this time helps.
