definitely the lowest effort video i've ever released on this channel. Duno why, but i just suddenly had the urge to sit down and talk about this topic.. and thought.. very sad isnt it stevey :( couldnt agree more re: wasted potential... they absolutely threw away an incredible opportunity to build this game into something really special. Coulda been an esport. This game is currently the best free game on mobile without any ads and in app purchases. It doesn’t make sense to delete the game. All they need is to pay for the servers and also make downloaded items stored in cache to reduce the cost . The game is pretty simple and they can invest a very little into the development to keep the game updated.

After I spoke to you about what happens next in sideswipe, I thought about it again and came to the conclusion that you are probably right. Thinking that epic will come back to this game even though they make no money off it is not a reality. I just hope they don't come to the conclusion to fully end this game tho

This reminds me of this game I really used to like to play called Motorball. It wasn’t ever super big but I really liked playing it and I was really high ranked in it and the community was really good. Unfortunately it wasn’t created by a super large company so the lack of income they got from it caused them to not be able to keep the game running.

I'm hoping that since the Psyonix devs' attention were undeniably focused on Rocket Racing over the last 1.5+ years, they can now focus more on Sideswipe and RL. This is probably the last bit of hope that Sideswipe has now :/ so I'm wishing the best for s13.

To me this is the most purely skill based competitive online game ever made. It's a pure tactics match unlike full 3d rocket League where you're almost always blind to most of the play. It's up there with classics like nhl 94 for me.

Aku sangat lelah menunggu di main menu. kukira aku sedang mengantri lapangan, namun nyatanya hanya aku yang menunggu permainan. setiap malam ku cek item shop berharap ada item yang baru namun nyatanya dia menjual yang dulu pernah di jual, rocket pas terlalu ampas terlalu banyak benda duplikat yang murah, aku sudah bersusah payah mengumpulkan token untuk benda baru, saat ku gunakan ternyata hanya sampah sampah duplikat yang dia jual. Pencapaianku tahun ini sudah selesai "GC dragon banner" mungkin hanya ini yang bisa ku banggakan. Terimakasih Psyonix.

Thats sad. Ive played sideswipe one year ago for some months, but stopped after starting DI and Snap. SS lacks so much content and is so hard to learn and get good that it discourages new players. It should have clans and friends, at least, to motivate new players. I didnt want to invest time in a game that, although is amazing, have zero support from devs. Sad.

I'm literally starting the game and I'm really enjoying it and it scared me when you mentioned that they might disable it, I hope that doesn't happen and they manage to revive the game, I haven't been so addicted to a game in a long time and I really want to learn to be better and learn the mechanics

I hope that there is new content, I believe there was a dropshot gamemode being planned but then scrapped. also, maybe there was no monetization due to the issues with mobile platform in-app purchases

At 1:02, you said "infinite rocket pass" but the rocket pass does have an end. It was announced in sideswipe news. The last rank is aurum which gives a reward once reached.

He doesn’t mean it literally is infinite… he’s saying every season they simply add to the rocket pass rather than introducing a new one. Therefore every season it is extended making it seem infinite

Morally, the game always has people playing it, if it had abandoned it, no one would be sad to see the game without an update, it would deserve to have the same follow-up as on PC, it would be cool to see people adding Cars and items and bosts that were cool, I go in practically every day just to have all the collections of items in the game

I think they r going to just keep the game as non seasonal and it will slowly die.. I still dont get why they didnt add monetization in the early days of ss it would be great profitable game by now since money is all epic cares about sadly. btw merry Christmas bro I had a great time learning new mechanics and watching your videos at the time it was my favourite game

I think the whole reason they don't monetize the is because of apple and the lawsuit where they felt that Apple was getting too much money so they took fortnite off Apple in rocket League off of Apple that's probably the main reason because if they monetized it they would have to give x amount of dollars to wherever they got it at and they don't want to do that so they just leave it.. and if by some chance they did monetize it you can say bye to playing it on iPad or I phone

the game that got shutdown was Apex Legends Mobile. it was doing extremely well imo. but apparently they were too focused on Marketing on Social Platforms instead of fixing bugs because the game was inflated with them(apparently)....personally i never experienced a bug or a glitch in that game. but anyways i think the players boycott them? and they shut it down. i loved that game though. i stopped playing SideSwipe a while ago, i think it was near the first ever PVP video you made where a Plat plays a Diamond, Diamond plays champ, etc. complete F2P games are made for the fun of making them, they still get updates and content and stuff but Psyonix is the one that didn't get the memo with sideswipe.

Bro ….. what are you talking about no new content ! We get a free rocket pass witch is cool as c ..the chance to get gold rewards. Hoops 3s volley ball heat sealer … what more do you want out of a free game that is already pretty solid in my eyes … I like your content but I must disagree with you on this one bro .. I also think trading would mess the game up and b far to tricky to set up / pointless as of all the scammers makes it a bad thing …monitization wouldn’t happen bc we already get all the items for free that’s the best part about golden rewards …. most mobile games are free bruv. If you compare this game to almost any other successful mobile game, you'll see a massive lack of content in this game. take for example - Stumble Guys or Diablo Immortal. Both free mobile games. Both monetised. Both get a tonne of new content all the time, and have done so for years. Compare those to sideswipe... We basically got 1 year of new content every season, and then they released the new rocket pass design, gold rewards & chromatics, which essentially put the game into maintenance mode (all 3 features being near infinite with 99.9% of the player base unable to ever obtain every single reward). duno what you're smokin to be impressed with the amount of content in sideswipe, but uh.. give me some!
