You will never see the star trek of the 60's ever again. Strange New Worlds is vastly better than Discovery. Watch season 1 and 2 and you will see this harkens back to TOS and TNG more than DS9.
@@d.1.a_mayby18 agreed. Enterprise felt the best way to do prequel show to TOS unlike Disocvery and Strange New Worlds. Enterprise felt like the end of the golden era before "Woke" writers came to Hollywood
Section 31 sounds like garbage. SNW is pretty good. Breaks canon a bit but at least it brought the humor, hope and sense of adventure back. STD was a tidally low point. Lower Decks is some of the best Trek of all time. Prodigy was pretty mid and Picard was terrible. So its hit or miss. Gotta appreciate the good where you can find it because there's plenty of bad our there.
Looks like star trek to me for strange new worlds great set design fantastic costumes good acting and looks like a modern star trek from the 60's sadly it looks like there doing to many comedic episodes that's my only gripe i have with it and the writings isn't on the level i want it to be. I suggest you to go and watch season 1 and 2 and then come back with a review for strange new worlds. Yes i do agree with the new section 31 it looks crap and nothing like star trek and even starfleet academy will also be another flop they should just stick with strange new worlds. Make more episodes and build around it instead of making more crap star trek shows that nobody wants or really interested in watching.
Can't enjoy the it and no else should when the franchise is not following the guidelines set by the original creators. I'm not crying, I'm pissed off and frustrated. This stuff that is produced is not star trek. Should be called something else. Who wanted a section 31 movie/series?
You must love bullshit characters, plots, and worlds that offer nothing more than a few hours people urging like children and big space battles with no emotional stakes involved. If you like these things, then Modern star trek is for you.
That 'Vulcan' is from the Beatnik era - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BC35cQKHwzg.html. The captain is holding a traditional Vulcan weapon called a Lirpa. The one Spock used in the hormone infused fight with Kirk. - BTW your video is impossible to watch. No volume from your clips.
@@thetexasman5877 - Your volume, is basically okay, though low. However, the clips from the show, are so low that I would have to crank the volume to the point that when you say something it would blow out my speakers, or ears as I also tried headphones. Before you suggest it, all other yt vids are fine, my system is fine, and I have 45+ years of daily computer experience.
@@me1assassin parts of the video are low in volume to avoid copyright issues. if the entire video is low in volume ill work on making future ones louder or you should be able to use captions feature.
Section 31 it is amazing how much milage Star Trek has gotten out of a minor adaption of a Babylon sub plot. Paramount optioned Babylon 5 for two years and then let it go. WB chose to proceed with the Project, then Deep Space 9 came out (and no there is no parallel development there). This is one Episode of Babylon 5 were a Bureau 13 is mentioned as a secret origination inside of Earth gov. But then never heard about again.
