The gaited horse twins at 3 weeks old!
We had quite a shock on May 29, 2023 when we came out to find our Tennessee Walking Horse mare Thora had given birth to a successful set of twins! The colts were weak and needed a fair bit of assistance. Winston (black sabino) has been the weaker of the two since birth compared to his brother Ulysses (buckskin), but now they are both running around, kicking up their heels and playing and enjoying life! They are a miracle and such a joy to behold - we can barely get our work done! Both boys are getting plenty of milk and their TWH dam, Thora, is being heavily supplemented to keep up with the demands of twins. The ultrasound missed the second foal early on, but they beat the odds and are thriving.
