The best is how they think it's a compliment. They fetishized the movie industry, just like journalism, education ("you HAVE to go to college if you don't want to be a loser!") or the absolute worst: DA SCIENCE.

Well, criticism and honesty don't pay as well as ass licking. His name uh Jeff is exactly that kind of person. Always ready to slide between Kojima's ass chicks with his tongue, supporting one-hit "genius" of a guy that had ONE relatively good game - MGS3. The same goes for other game devs. Jeff and the like love to praise mediocre and incompetent impotents' creations. Also, you forgot to mention BAFTA. On some level, they're even worse than TGA. But normies don't care; normies watch this kind of show. They participate in and approve of these self-established, self-congratulatory social institutions. Normies were trained to identify the form of a medium they used to enjoy in its unfiltered form, and now they're being fed that form, albeit stripped to its essentials while the content isn't there or has been diluted or corrupted by outside influence. It's not to say game devs aren't allowed to express themselves using marginalized philosophical and sociological treatises (that's the point of art or anything that calls itself as being an art), by pointing at and deviating from the status quo, but when they forcibly shove their ideas down players' ears, eyes and minds, leaving no room for questioning new information while seeing themselves being portrayed as these white demons that plague the earth - that's no good. For one, they alienate their potential player base and, two, they in effect fail to constructively relay their point of view.

The best part? Gas Station Simulator outsold it.

@@21Kiloton Returnal is hard until you come to terms with the way it wants to be played and then you can literally beat the thing in a single run without dying once. In fact, the hardest part is beating the first two levels. RNG plays heavily but when all the stars align, you can almost become unstoppable. I struggled for 2 weeks on levels 1-2 but then I got on a run and beat 3+4 on my first attempt including final boss because I had gotten perfect drops. It's not balanced as well as a souls like (which aren't perfectly balanced by any means) but it's a great game.

@@patrickgreene934 RNG made it a pain to platinum but if that's what's considered hard nowadays then the road ahead will be very lacking in challenge.

You have to look over a lot of flaws with Days Gone but underneath that is a brilliant game. Just don't go watching his Doom Eternal review...eeeek

It’s strangely compelling because it feels like it’s calling to our nature as men (you can be a chick and want to build shit too) to construct and create while destroying in the process. (Some) Simulators allow us to live out our dreams when they would otherwise be realistically unattainable or even relive a past life (like if you worked for a few years in a trade that there’s a sim for.) Shit, Arma 3 got me into Therapy for a career and THAT got me addicted to Farming Simulator lol

Deathloop was boring as shit for me I have like 3 hours on it and I bought it on my PlayStation when I could’ve just pirated it I didn’t know it was on PC and I wasted $100 i liked tlou2 though but the story has flaws and there is some agenda pushing at the end with the slavers wearing police vests but I still enjoyed
