RAS has many components which should have been expounded on in some detail,i,e solids filter,bio-filter,aerator...also the monitoring of ammonia,water pH,temperature and oxygen levels...it requires the pumping of water (and oxygen)24/7 which requires quite a bit of electricity...

I have observed and been involved in various types of farming in Kenya for decades. One Constant i find is that everyone involved in the Inputs chain tends to make more money than the actual farmer on the ground. Be it fertilizer or herbicide/pesticide manufacturers or suppliers of equipment such as the fish equipment in the video here...they ALL EARN MORE than the farmer. Where...in which market in Kenya....will you go and sell the 12,000 fish he is talking about?? If that market really exists...let somebody volunteer a supply contract...to buy the 12000 fish regularly and take them to the market for the farmer on the ground😊...it will be a hundred years before that contract gets done. The main business in agriculture is to manufacture, sell/supply equipment and inputs to poor unsuspecting farmers who end up making next to zero in profits.
