@paulo felipe b braga Indian army has 4850 tanks, 9000 AFVs, 374 rocket launchers, 100 self propelled artillery and 4167 field guns. There is no way India has 40000 field guns.

The m-46 130mm might be a beast in the old times., but at this moment in this modern world artilleries using man power to setup is horrible which is even a threat to the life of our soldiers. Its time to decommission such weapons and move forward using others with the auxiliary power. Let our Indian flag fly high everywhere ♥️
Well said.... They will be a target for drones strikes, loitering munitions etc. Plus we dont have proper anti drone capabilities to mitigate such strike on artillery
To be honest, if we're going up against China these may not make much of a difference. But when going against Pakistan these Artilleries can make a huge difference. And as one of them pointed, it the strategic use of these assets that will ultimately decide the fate of the outcome. That being said, I'm of the opinion that we'll never have to face a situation where in we'll have to use these.
GoI needs to order the following Indigenous Artillery systems as soon as possible :- (1) ATAGS & its Truck mounted versions (2) Kalyani ULH (155x39mm) & its Truck mounted versions (3) Truck Mounted versions of 105mm IFG or LFG. These Artillery Guns have the potential to transform Indian Army's High Altitude Warfare capability.
