Eric; ''I can't afford this game, so i'm going to do you guys a favor and not buy it'' hahaha I love you Eric, so glad you finally got your game :) Another great episode guys!
You guys got special treatment because you're the gamechasers, for us civilians they crank up the prices and would never even dream of letting us into the back of the store. It's the first store that comes up on google so they get a lot of traffic, games are always picked clean and the good games always cost wayyyy too much. It's always my last choice when shopping for retro games, the only upside is that they pretty much wont let you buy anything without testing it.
I have been in their backroom back when they were at that location. they were too lazy to look themselves so I had to look for myself. but still they don't understand that that shit is in the back where no one knows it's there, so their prices should have been reasonable, but they still jacked up the prices a lot
Tough the same, they let these people search, and still have the balls to offer. They should say 3/5 dollar each game and rare games 20% up or something, if they wanna keep it decent. Thats how stores work, if you have to dig yourself.
When it's just the two main guys, it's fun to watch them go through yard sales, mom and pop stores, etc. When they have their whole entourage, it's just insanity. I feel so anxious watching everyone go at each other like elementary schools kids. Haha. But I keep watching. ;)
This is hands down my favorite episode you guys got me into collecting for the switch I have over 150 games and it's mostly thanks to you guys and this episode thank you for changing my life
Love re watching old Game Chasers episodes. Nothing wrong with going to a store to hunt. I've actually done what Billy preached for years, which is build a relationship with the stores and sellers. Even these days I can still get some decent deals.
DOUBLE FEATURE! i would like to take the time to say thank you for over 45 minutes of awesomeness! i know it had to be rough doing all the editing. thank you.
Thanks for the opportunity to narrate your intro! Great stuff as always. Cannot believe the amount of games.. I would seriously have to take out a home loan to buy all the stuff I want here.
Crossroads Reviews that funny you say that because thats EXACTLY what I had in my head when I asked you. I like how he narrates the intro for ghost hunters. Granted its a different themed show, but still
The more that I think about it, the weirder Scott gets to me. Like...he just met up with you guys one day, and now he follows you around conventions and sets in the Retroware booth?
As others have said, A&C Games has a reputation for pricing well above eBay and for not being willing to haggle / deal. This was entertaining to watch; it's just a shame that the rest of us can't enjoy a similar experience.
This is quite possibly the greatest episode of The Game Chasers you guys have ever put together. 30 minutes of rummaging and haggling was so incredibly fun to watch!
I have literally had dreams of finding a place like that, looking through boxes upon boxes of games and stumbling across all sorts of rare games. I love and hate that you were able to do that at the same time; on one hand I was able to see my dreams visualized, but on the other hand it wasn't me!
Darkstar263 u don't want to visit these stores trust me, they are way more expensive now then this video was 3yrs ago.. These type of stores price guage like crazy
I went to A&C Games a couple of times about 4 years ago. Owners are really nice and trade in prices are more than fair. It is fairly small, but the games are stacked floor to ceiling (I never knew about the basement next door). Was cool to see the Game Chasers visit somewhere I've been and meet people I've met.
I’ve met Gar on my trips to a Toronto convention and I’ve been to his store. He’s a quality guy and super awesome to talk too especially about game chasers
First of all just want to thank you all so much for showing me that places filled with retro videogames EXIST!! Problem is you cant find anything like that here in Spain :( It brings very good memories and I have to admit I dropped a tear or two. I might not be into all the burps and swearing but I got to handle it to you guys, Good job and thanks for your hard work.
That is the most awesome looking retro game store ever! It would have been so cool being able to go through their unchecked stock, finding games. And it looks like you all came away with games you were very happy with.
Canada welcomes you guy guys back anytime. Just don't head west. When you head west you hit oil country and therefore all the prices of the games get super expensive until B.C. then the prices start to drop back a little bit.
I went yardsaling last weekend with my dad and got a huge stack of 20 PS2 games for 25 cents a piece. A few interesting things but nothing super special like The Warriors. I NEED that game!
As always another great edition of game chasers! And I must say, i've really warmed up to eric. Thought he tried way too hard the first couple of times he was on, but i was wrong...he seems like a really good guy.
This whole episode I'm WRITHING in envy. That place is a fucking gold mine! Shame I don't live as close to Hamilton as I used to. Would've made a stellar weekend trip.
Thank you very much for the two episodes, Billy. I will always give the thumbs up and leave a comment. I know it takes a lot of time to edit and upload them. God bless you guys!
Great show guys. I have been looking for something like this since I started watching American Pickers. Unfortunately I am stuck in the same state as Roo and there isn't barely crap here so I have to pay retail on eBay. (If you all know of any collector's in the Raleigh area hook a fellow collector up!) I have to say, damn that is a picker's dream being in that store. It's like diving into Scrooge McDuck's money bin of games. It must be nice traveling to places like that and getting good scores. Keep up the chase!
Again, this is one of the best episodes in the series, I absolutely loved every second of it. And I guess 230$ was a somewhat good deal for Panic Restaurant.
Yeah, it was decent price, but I'm glad eric didn't buy it. It should help people to not pay ridiculous prices just because its "rare". Its better to just walk away and find it for an actual affordable price.
