As a kid these were my faves: 1. G.G. Shinobi 2 - The Silent Fury 2. Wonderboy 3 - The Dragon´s Trap 3. Land of Illusion 4. G.G. Aleste 5. Sonic Chaos 6. Streets of Rage 2 7. Tempo Jr. 8. GunStar Heroes 9. Ax-Battler 10. Asterix and the secret Mission
So many games I had no idea existed when I was a kid. There were only a few places in my town to buy GG games, and the selection was always pretty limited. I'm sure I would have loved some of these.
3:04 that looks like Mickey Tettleton's batting stance! I used to love Super Batter Up on the SNES and never knew they made a Batter Up for Game Gear. Very cool.
Here's my fravorite games on the game gear 1 : Sonic chaos 2 : Mappy 3 : Tom and jerry the movie 4 : Cheese catastrophe staring speedy gonzales 5 : Pac attack 6 : Bubble Bobble 7 : Bust a move That's all can i say from my game gear games
I had a game gear with an adapter so my parents didnt have to keep buying expensive batteries and donald duck and sonic are the two most memorable games i had when i think back and oh the luxury of a backlit screen in colour whilst with nintendo you had to be in a very bright room to make out what was going on!
@@yasashii89 To an extent. I only used bastteries for car rides/outside. I had the adapter (Which was a decent legnth) But you could still plug it into a near by outlet, and not need it hooked up to a tv
First time i checked a game gear videogames list, i am surprised to see so many master system games here XD + some good genesis ports. Seem like an Amazing and innovative portable console back in the time
I played Game gear a select few times and was always amazed at how good the color and graphics were considering Gameboy color was the best handheld i knew of at the timetill game gear and GBA wasnt out as far as i knew. So many great games and systems it always amazes me to see people fighting over whos system is better when its all about the games themselves and moments spent playing them.
30:23 Y’know I think this might’ve the first ever M rated portable game title before people think’d that gta was the first m rated gba game or gta for DS and such I mean did people think that this was the first M rated portable game title?
@@ParanoidThalyyMVS Because nothing beats the original hardware. I love emulation but I gotta admit that playing on original hardware with a screen intended for certain consoles is the best way to play (e.g: retro/semi retro games are much better on a crt than led)
52:28 Wait a minute... So, there really WAS a Surf Ninjas game for the GAME gear??? I remember that the movie incorporated the Game Gear as part of the plot. It felt really weird.
Game Gear is still one of my all time favorite portable systems. Still play mine even till this day! I have the Majesco version due to better reliability over the original Sega version that failed with bad capacitor issues! 😢
There are different types of games. Some take hours, some take days and so on. I mean, of course you can play a new game every day but I doubt you'll complete most of them.
lol i doubt there will be a video like this for the ds. there were nearly 2200 games officially released on the platform. i cant imagine someone actually tracking down footage for that many games just to make a video.
(I may miss out from the video, but please tell me what the game is called.) It is like two guys are fighting in the beginning and one of them will be flying to the sky if he is the loser. The idea to win at the end is like the guy has to get all of the tools from different rooms. Once the guy gets all the tools, he needs to go to the destination where the helicopter or other vehicle is there. Can someone tell me what this game is?
Please help! I'm looking for a game but I might have missed it on this video. It's fantasy themed (I think) it's a top down game somewhat reminiscient to the first Legend of Zelda on the NES. But the setting is always inside a castle and you have to save a princess. The gameplay is mostly puzzle with very light combat but the puzzles can get pretty arbitrary in harder difficulties like, hitting a specific tile on the floor in a very large room to make an item appear or a door open. I've been searching for it everywhere to no avail. I'm not sure if it's in this video.
Is this video ALL the Game Gear games from all regions? I remember a game I played when I was little but it's not there. It's a 2D platform the player is a boy (or something like a boy?) and has the ability to punch... rocks? I've been trying to find that game for ages but no luck because I don't even know the title or the region. Any one have any idea of a game like that?
oh yeah, everybody was all aboard on the PS1, and that's because Sony was willing to give any third party a chance, on top of that it was cheaper to make the games onto discs than carts were, so while Nintendo was stubbornly sticking to Cart limitations, no one else was. XD
Well now that GG Aleste 3 exists you could technically make that 366 games. The game technically did release on a Game Gear, even if only the Game Gear Micro.
@@leighdappa Every frame that's watermarked reflects the work of someone else and I have zero interest in reposting someone else's videos, do you understand what machine learning is?
😠My spiteful cousin had one of these with: 👊Mortal Kombat 1 (1993) 30:16 and 🌪Taz-Mania (1992) 54:26 and he only let me have the quickest of goes on both.
There was a game I don't remember it's name There were 4 characters red yellow blue green Green was for earthquake yellow was for water or fire Can someone tell me it's name?
Kinda funny how some games are nice and smooth while others are terribly choppy. I'm guessing either the programmers (or their superiors) just wanted the game finished and released.
@@PersonausdemAll ,hmm,You right. But it was on Master System, which is close, similar in hardware to Game Gear.I guess, ther was romhack version on Game Gear of game. And in my country I remember that, for example,on NES was games...from Sega Master System/Game Gear.
my gosh does the game gear sound chip is horrible... it must have been reeeeally difficult to make anything worth listening out of it... no wonder why so many games were released without any soundtrack at all
Wtf 🤨 are you serious? It was good, the games are Sounding good. The most games have a Soundtrack. Only Few games had bad Sound but this was not the fault of the game gear. You have to get check you ears.
