So me and my friends had a DND oneshot which I will refer to as the bardshot. To have it make sense with this song I'll explain some of it: So each of us statred in different areas, and we each followed a woman in a purple cloak through a portal. We then met each other and the King of the Bards. We were sent out by him to find him a potion to make him mortal again, and for one of us to become the new King of the Bards. At one point we meet a little girl, and she leads us to a puzzle. After that puzzle we are separated from her and end up in a theater, the audience is full of puppets, and there are puppets on stage performing. There is also a director (who ends up being an oni, but we'll get back to that later), and there is another girl, who has the same name and looks the same as the other girl. After this we go to a museum and find the potion, my character was the only one able to get it as she was the only one able to fly. We also lost two party members, both of the players were unable to continue playing, so one endedd up unconcious due to alcohol poisoning and the other wandered off (The one that wandered off was the only one that was safe). We end up fighting a glass dragon, and my significant other rolls a really high sleight of hand check to steal the potion bottle from me (I'm still mad at her for that) and she told us it must have shattered during battle. We head back to the theater, there we are surrounded by the puppets, the two little girls, and the director. We end up using the puppets as a peasant cannon with my characters rapier to oneshot the oni. Next, my S/O's character burns the puppets, and the two little girls (who were also puppets), setting their souls free. We head back to the King of the Bards, and he says that they were his daughters. We give him the potion and he dumps it out. We start threatening him to tell us what it did. He says that we would have to go home to find out. We all end up following the woman in the pruple cloak through a portal. We are on a stage, the woman is in the audience, the King of the Bards is on a balcony, and there are strings controlling our movements. And that was the end of the bardshot. Does this not remind you of the song at least a little bit?
