@@space0612Never mind his end product back then, I'm talking about marking him. If you don't match his running he'll keep going forwards. He could run all day and that is extremely uncomfortable for any defender
Exactly.. Also need to remember he was being played in wrong position those days. Ronaldo could have proved a far better finisher than Rooney then. But local Rooney was the main man !
@@remilnr wth are you talking about? That's his position, he's always played wing, he's more of a scoring machine now compared to his united days when he was more of a fast paced and skillful winger
Tripleclicks William Azanuwa Ronaldo was asked in an interview for a spanish tv program called el chiringuito who is the hardest defender he had and ronaldo said ashley cole
Insanely nostalgic.....This video literally took me back to my childhood when I started playing football because of ronaldo...I remember this match very well.....I had to pause the video and wipe my own tears....i mean so many years blew away in a blink of an eye.... & then at 0.21 what i see is him standing next to sir Alex and Silvestre.....I was thinking did they ever know they were standing next to the greatest player ever to touch the ball.....did I ever knew back then that my childhood idol would become the greatest ever!!! Hats off to him!!
Cristiano Ronaldo 4 stars if he was a 5 star he would be able to do a variety of skills rather than just step overs and chops. I’m not hating i like Ronaldo
God I remember my arsehole clenching every time he got the ball that day. Bearing in mind Lauren was part of the invincible defence and one of the very best at the time, he sure made him look ordinary! What a player Ronaldo was even at 20. You can hear the crowd noise change whenever he's on the ball.
@@cockoffgewgle4993 nop. The interpretation of the rules is different from now. Those were the days when Italian serie A was the most dangerous league for any striker to play in.
As an arsenal fan I got so much respect for ronaldo. He used to get kicked badly every game and would carry on. Still doing it at a high level. Unbelievable mentality
Yes but you don't belittle Figo. All skills that you see in this video Figo did them before! He is the idol of a portuguese generation: for cristiano and quaresma
@@PatoNani18 Figo was a great athlete. When he left Madrid to play in Inter, he was 32-33 years old and He continued to churn out great performances for others years. Cristiano has undergone an evolution: he has gone from being a right-left winger to a full offensive player in the central-left area of the pitch. For me Figo was a batter dribbler than Cristiano, maybe Cristiano is a better player (And I can accept those who think so but for me no) but even Figo played for a long time like a true professional player but in an other football role. Sorry if I'm a little grumpy 😅
the thing is he's not talented. He's just puts a lot of effort. Players like the real Ronaldo, Ronaldinho or Messi are far better than him when it comes to raw talent.
@This is the best name I could come up with Ronaldo in his early manu days was like that.. But u can see a complete change in quality from his early madrid days.
@@higochumbo8932 lol... So what is talent for you?? Dribble... Football isnt just that... you need talent to defend, score goals, for everything... To be a great football player you need talent...Nobody can be a great football player without talent... And of course a lot of effort... You think Messi dont puts a lot of effort too... Of course he does... He need that to be one of the best...
I miss him alongside Rooney and Tevez. For as long as it lasted, it's the best striker setup I have seen of any Premier League team. Tevez especially, hardly ever mentioned these days, so underrated. He kept West Ham in the league, then we had him and he was amazing, then he went to Man City and was basically the main man there, acting as the catalyst to make them what they are today.
I still remember back then when CR play for MU and I though he just want to show off with his skill but then I realise that each game he is trying to improve the effectiveness of his technique.
I didn't see any efficiency to me he did his best in this game but couldn't manage taking his team to win the title that's the difference between him and Messi I only saw useless runs and dribbles
@@thearsenalverdict Yeah and then one of them went on to have statues made of him, a museum, etc etc. He was just a class above everyone. Just like Messi.
Imo his best games were against Atletico Madrid in 2017, Sweden in 2013, Arsenal in 2009, Spain last year and many games from 2012 especially against Netherlands and all games against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
Tbh, this 2005 version of cr7 was just a wonderboy just like we have many every year. 2006-2007 was the season the world really started to understand he would be the future of football.
he deserves to be revognized asvthe BEST football playet in the world...it comes from his hard work and self discipline...he deserves to be the model among athletes
The most difficult thing in football is to adapt manager’s strategy. And the only player who can do this really well is CR7! That’s why he’s the greatest player ever in history.
I still remember that game. Chances begging for a proper finish and in the end reselient Arsenal won on penalties. Anyone would've expected Ronaldo to become better than Figo, but no would've thought he would go become arguably the greatest player of all time🐐
Teo Cri,que facilidade você tem de fazer as pessoas olhar o futebol que muita gente acha que o Cristiano Ronaldo não tem, obrigado por esses vídeo maravilhosos👍
He was making fun and completely destroyed probably the greatest defence at that time in EPL. He easily went past Viera, Laurent and other players, with his dribbling, tricks and pace. They tried to murdered him in this match, he was by far MOTM.
The most difficult thing to do in football is to adapt manager’s strategy, and ronaldo is the only player who can do this really well. He changes his styles of playing according to club and manager’s demand. That’s why he’s greatest footballer ever! 🐐
He was such a lovely player to watch. He always makes something happen. He is so effective with the ball. He destroys defence mentally through freestyle skills and physically through pace
tr1p1ea like somebody commented imagine if the present ronaldo would have been there to finish all those crosses and passes the young ronaldo gave.. good luck trying to defend that
I remember this game. Lauren was one of the best RB in the world. He was trying to intimidate Ronaldo by constantly fouling and kicking him. But, Ronaldo terrorised him that game. United deserved to win that game, they created lot of chances but lost on penalties. The younger generation will never know how good Messi and Ronaldo were even at 19 and 20 since there was no social media back then.
Nadie Y Ninguno Como El Gran Cristiano Ronaldo. Todo Un Ejemplo Gran Profesional, Deportista Imparable, Una Máquina, Una Leyenda Y Un Crack. Absolutamente Y Sin Dudas El Jugador Más Completo Y Mejor De Todos Los Tiempos. Fan De CR7 Y Mi Jugador Favorito Al 100 %
😥😥can't believe times goes so fast ,I'm a great fans of Manchester united in the 2003,04-09 when full of good players like rudd van nestleroy,Rooney, Alan smith ,giggs, etc
What a difference between the way he reacted after being fouled in the games as a Red Devil versus now... Sir Alex never let anyone dive in his games and play the next one.... We need that mentality in all managers
He was so quick at times they couldn’t even kick him. Have you any idea of the bravery required to constantly run at players knowing full well all they want to do is kick you ?....what an amazing talent...he is still very young here and not yet refined his game. To become later in his career the greatest finisher in my opinion of all time.
Insane pace and ball handling overall. When people ask who do you prefer...Ronaldo or Messi, I just say i am glad to have experienced wonderful game play they both bring to the pitch! Lots of love for the sports called Football or Soccer in this part of the world.
Nistelrooy was a great finisher, but too stactic for these fast crosses, they relly got much deadlier when they signed Tevez and partnered him with Ronaldo and Rooney.
This game, the greatest premier league striker was injured and we only had 35yr old Bergkamp up front. In the end we still won on penalties 😆. Fully dominated by Ronaldo but we had the players to play a defensive game as well. Jen Lehmann was the hero in the end.
Seeing the greatest holding mid of all time, Patrick Vieira struggling to keep up with Ronaldo just tells you how insane he was. And to think that this was WAY before his prime is just incredible. Goat.
This Ronaldo guy is good. I think he'll go on to play for Real Madrid. And sure he'll have plenty of trophies and awards if he can keep this up. Best of luck ya young prince!
