Yah I remember one yr I got checked 4 times 2 times at Jim’s once in Seward for snagging and once at ship creek I was a trooper magnet lol. But they were really nice every time.

In Wisconsin we can get our hunting and fishing licenses put on a card. I keep my fishing license in a zip loc bag in my pack so it doesn't get wet. The secret is to go fishing where a game warden can't get to. Noticed a nice road overhead I would have gone out of sight fishing so I would get bugged. The last two times I was checked was at least ten years ago. I was fishing and got asked for my license and right about then a carp hit me rod. Asked the warden if he had a license and handed my rod to him and said have at it. Pulled my license out and handed it to him after we released the carp. Now he just walks past me and remembers catching a carp. The other time here in town was my friends cousin. He just asked if we had a license and didn't bother asking. The one time up in Alaska the game warden who sold me the license also ate in our kitchen at work so he was the one that sold me a license. I think it was $50 for a non-resident back in 1991.
