No. Maturity means letting people post whatever they want as long as they are not harming you or others. Maturity means being happy in seeing people happy for whatever good reason it might be. Maturity means looking at other people’s success through a lens of inspiration, not envy.
Before this year ends, I hope you allow yourself to be happy without thinking how people might consider you as selfish. I hope you let yourself be proud of your achievements without minding how people might see you as arrogant. I hope you permit yourself to express sadness without being concerned that people might call you depressing. I hope before this year ends, you allow yourself to be YOU without giving thought to the judgements that people might give.
I hope we end our 2023 and start our 2024 with authenticity. We owe it not only to our present selves but also to our younger selves to be who we really are and to be what we really want to be. ⚓
