The moments in this video, in combination with the editing make this one of the most fun videos to watch to date. You guys looked like you were having so much fun.
It's so interesting that with regular clubs and straight up golf, these boys are basically a dead heat, but Garrett is just so untouchable in challenges. All that work growing up really pays off with trick shots and weird clubs, etc.
Probably one of my favorite videos to date! Love it when y’all are off the coarse as much as on it! Laughed more on this video than any other so far, hilarious!
15:14 love to see the guys meetin up with the fans I met you guys once and id love to meet y’all again! You guys are special to us, keep growin the game much love!
Garrett's ability to hit anything is a product of his swing being so feel based. It's also why he is so streaky, going from red hot to luke warm. Grant is much more mechanical and as a result, when things are good they're great. And when they're bad, it's still good. He doesn't get too far off.
I support you Grant in your decision and your reasoning whatever it was. I’m sure your mom and dad will be very happy to have you and your wife living near them, especially once your family grows to include children. I’m 65 and love having my three sons living in my city. I do hope you make guest appearances on GG and GM golf channels and your friendships with those guys survives your leaving those “companies”. Many viewers probably do not realize and understand that you were an employee for those channels and sometimes the initial fit can dissipate as time goes on. I do not expect you to be totally transparent on your decision because my guess there is a significant portion that is none of my and the other viewers business. I wish you luck, I love your channel and I will definitely maintain my subscription and watch your content. I think you are a great person and RU-vid personality. Your also very good at your golf teaching videos!
I have to say boys , this was quite interesting. LOL I would imagine that some of those clubs would have been quite hard to hit but you guys made it fun to watch and it was a good laugh (at Graunt) that is. Please make a video playing an iconic course using hickory shafted clubs. That would be epic for one your matches.
I think on the garage sale challenge, day 1 and maybe even day 2 are just on the garage sales. You need to pick a weekend, probably two, and start early. Hit every garage sale you can to find the clubs. Only after you have the clubs, then you make your tee-time. Otherwise the pressure of making your tee time forces you into another thrift store challenge.
Great videos!!! I am currently watching the "Long Drive" series but wanted to comment on this video so it is more current. Have you guys ever thought about that type of series in Wisconsin, definitely would have to be in the summer. The Lake Geneva area has Geneva National with 3 courses designed by Palmer, Player & Trevino...also Grand Geneva Resort with 2 courses...also Hawk's View. Just a little to the north of there is Erin Hills ( U.S Open course). If you go northeast from there you can play Lawsonia with 2 great courses in Green Lake. Just east of there you can play Whistling Straits (Ryder Cup course) & not far from there is Blackwolf Run. You could also go thru The Waterpark Capital of The World...The Wisconsin Dells with has some awesome courses in that area. All of these courses are championship public golf courses, many of which have made Golf Digest's top 100 public courses. You could spend a couple weeks just playing those great courses. Just an idea for another "Drive" series or maybe a Good Good week.
Another great thrift store challenge! Here are some ideas for the future: (1) add an old club challenge to the next Good Good Major (2) require pros you play against in the future to use old wooden clubs (3) in next year's Halloween special, play with "Frankenstein clubs" (old wood head with the newest shaft tech / latest Mizuno heads with hickory shafts).
It’s so refreshing to see you guys hitting the same clubs on approaches that I used back in the ‘80’s-90’s. I haven’t been able to play in 15-20+ years (yes I’m old!) due to a bad back so I never got to play with the modern clubs and balls. What a difference in distance!
I grew up in Boca, I saw a sign in that thrift shop that said Boca Raton at the beginning of the video where the hot dog putter was bought. I used to go to Jupiter for Boy scouts and I so wish I was there right now playing golf with the boys.
Great idea hope the garage sale thing does happen. But could try a flea market in the mean time. Get together with stacked golf they can show you the ropes.
