The Garden is an ongoing document of improvisations with electronic instruments. The aim is to share the process of making music in a way that is relaxed and enriching for the musician and the listener. In this recording:
Spending some time with the Boss DR-5 (x2) and the Alesis HR-16 which is a recent addition. The DR-5 next to the keyboard plays 3 channels of instrument sounds (String 1, Mute Guitar 1, Sine) and loops 16 beats while the other DR-5 is for drums and looping 14 beats. The HR-16 is running an 18-beat loop. The keyboard triggers the instruments DR-5 and allows adjusting the level of each instrument via the faders. The Grand Canyon is on a tape delay preset.
The Zoom H6 records each machine on its own channel. Stems were not edited for this video (just mixed down to a stereo mix in Ableton) but are saved for later use :)
