Amazing system for private pilots! The next advancement for general aviation airplanes should be a fully autonomous system from takeoff through landing that will provide complete autopilot control of navigation, elevation, pitch, power, trim, landing gear, lights, and all other aircraft systems that need to be activated and deactivated . If Tesla can do it with motor vehicles navigating on all kinds of roadways with thousands of vehicles, pedestrians, and other obstacles, surely it can be accomplished with general aviation airplanes. Takeoff to landing full autopilot should be far easier to attain than fully autonomous motor vehicles.
It is integrated for G1000 in Diamond DA42NG and DA40NG (which I fly) so I'd be more surprised if it was NOT integrated into the G1000 NXi than if it was - I hope that helps . .
