Interesting watch! In my opinion one of the most important feature of these low budget watches are external sensor support for pairing a heart rate monitor. Glad to see it here!
Garmin Instinct all the way. 2-3 weeks between charges is awesome. I had an Amazfit T-Rex Pro watch before but I found step count was way off because the watch would count steps when I was moving my arm which is ridiculous.
At a figure close to €100 it makes sense... at €150 honestly not much, considering that with around 40/50 max more you can buy the T-Rex 2, which in addition to being more complete and superior continues to have one of the best update support despite the fact that it will soon be two years after its release on the market.
Ha, I guess you're right. The band is pretty important in my eyes though since it will be on your wrist 24/7. The GPS accuracy was pretty bland which is why I didn't spend too much time on it.
I figured that much. You weren't the only review that barely touched on the GPS. And yes the strap is also important. I usually find I have to change them out. Thanks! @@ChaseTheSummit
@@Manfrom1995The solar model is still $300 on Amazon and $180 for the non solar model while the Amazfit active is going for $80. Is the extra $100 really worth it to but the Garmin? Not so sure
there are a lot of watches half the price of a garmin, loved my watch active 2 too but none of them are a well rounded package like the garmins, some are great in that area some in another but if you realy use a lot of features wnt excelent health statistics you have to get a garmin in my opinion. Samsung for example is much better in auto recognition activitys, amazfit has much better/organized option settings and even the apple watch has its perks but still they sadly arent on the same level than a fenix/epix
Is there any way to make it so that when I start a run the brightness increases to the maximum by itself, and leave the screen on throughout the workout? If there is a way, please explain it to me.
Sure, you would sacrifice internal music storage and the much larger AMOLED display on the balance as well as more accurate GPS and HR sensors. But... this one is cheaper.
You won't get elevation data in real time for example if you wanted a data field on the watch to display how high above sea level you were while hiking. However, you still see elevation data in the activity file sync'd to Zepp after the fact because it will combine your GPS track data with map elevation data to fill in the gaps.
Amazfit is not a bad company but they rarely support product after release and keep releasing products. Without music storage I will have to pass. I need music storage while I'm running. I don't want to take my phone with me.
Not sure I understand what you mean? The altimeter embeds elevation data into your activity files and allows you to view the elevation you're at while on hikes or trail runs.
@@nicorando3788 oh right. Yes you'll get elevation data once you sync the activity to the app. You just can't view elevation in real time during activities since it lacks the sensor.
@@ChaseTheSummit By reading the comments I finally get it, I knew it, no compass no barometer....Why the hell you make something new.... doing a step back.. Thanks for U time.
Amazfit are notorious for inaccurate GPS/sensors accuracy.. until they fixed that I'll stick to banger Casio. this one didn't make it either, maybe that justified the crazy price.
I don't heave lots of tattoos in that area so I can't comment. I suspect it won't do great considering I didn't have great results without tattoos lol.
Mappe off line (no tracce gpx che sono una cosa diversa) sono supportate da Falcon, T-Rex Ultra, Cheetah Series e da pochi giorni anche dal Amazfit Balance.
Yeah, can't expect to have it all for under $150 (currently $119 on amazon!)

@@ChaseTheSummit Barometric altimeter already had a super cheap smartwatches Amazfit GTS 2 Mini, I don't know why Amazfit cuts its products like this. The Amazfit Active also has a compass, whereas the Active Edge doesn't. Why not? Anyway, these are things that annoy me, but despite that I have a lot of Amazfit models in my collection at home.
