Forreal tho, why so much hate? Can music not be bound by rules? Can't an artist be an individual and craft their own sound to their liking? Music is always evolving and changing just like anything else. Jazz used to be regarded as wild music, like rock and roll when it first started, and now it is one of the most respected genres in the world. I'm confident that experimental electronic and hip hop music with unquantized rhythm and a variety of sounds and variations can become a staple in music. Technology is gradually giving music endless possibilities, so just be happy and don't hate.

I'm not sure what the difference is between emulating sound waves on an guitar or emulating sound waves on a DJ set (Or ANY instrument for that matter). Both are creating sound in a creative and unique way, and anyone who thinks they have the right to say it isn't music is just an ignorant asshole trying to bandwagon their own style. I'm glad Gaslamp is such a solid person that he doesn't care about hate, only care about support. Open your mind to new things people, quit joining the masses for everything, nothing wrong with being different.

I love when people talk shit about DJing, saying it's easy and talentless... I invite them try my setup and ask them to blend a song or scratch a sound... It's always an eye-opening experience for them to see how foreign and difficult it actually is. Foot removed from mouth every time ;) I just saw Gas Lamp Killer here in Denver and it was amazing. Mind = Blown. Much respect!

Technology has made "musicians" out of people who normally would be considered untalented . You just need to have "a look" instead of real creativity to become the next big thing...but then again this is Guitar Center. Where would this guy be without his macbook pro,iPad and engineers that actually setup his gear for him... btw, how has this guy made hippies cool again???? he is not a real musician.He can play on the beat, wooow what a big deal, such achievement, so much talent.... that is the very least anyone can do, i mean everyone can do that.He was a terrible drumer and became a DJ, well, that is story of MANY dj's, they suck at a real instrument and take the dumb boy's choice. If he were using a real instrument i would respect him, all that transcendence he speaks about is not that big of a deal, it is what happens every single day when you practice and are 100% focus. that is what real musicians live every day,
