28 April 2024 - The Gates of Haast is a stunning gorge nestled in Mount Aspiring National Park on the South Island of New Zealand. You can find it 56 km (34.7 miles) inland by road from the township of Haast and just 9 km (5.5 miles) from the summit of Haast Pass. The gorge boasts impressive sheer rock cliffs overlooking a steep cascade in the Haast River.
