Hi I had the same issue with my crane and it fixed with your method. Thanks a lot it was very helpful for me. 😍😍😍 it took me 1 hour to make the bracket I wish you had the angle with premade holes for sale. that could save time.
Same exact issue with a Titan Attachments 2 Ton, 1 side slipped the gear. Great fix, the warranty dept is still saying they are backordered for the factory part. This is much better, thanks
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 Thanks Jeremy, I did get one from you back in Nov? I think I did a mail call shout-out on a livestream T-giving weekend. I sent you something in Jan, I hope you got that? USPS, Geez.
Nice repair, i but a worm gear crank on my outside gantry so it has automatic braking and easy reverse but those boat wenches are super handy in many applications
Buddy you just saved me one heck of a headache. I have the same problem. The first time I ever used the crane the dang gear star chewed itself apart. I was super upset until I saw this brilliant upgrade. Thank you sir!
I just got my crane this week and had the same problemI.. I was able to repair it. hopefully it will keep working. If not I will repair it like you did. Thanks for the pictures I tried to explain it to my brother, its hard to explain so I sent him your video. Thanks.
@@joshuahawksworth169 It's hard for me to put in words but I will try. The inter gear that slides up and down agents the front of the gear box. has sharp edged and digs in to guides on the side. I had to file notches out of the short side guides. On one side th guide was to short and I drilled taped and put a short bolt in, which extended the guide. It's a good design but they cut to many corners. When you turn the crank one way the plate tips and slides up and down one side of the gear box. when you turn it the other way it tips and slides up and \down the other side where it slides there was a notch I had to file out. Good luck. sorry I can't explain better. I am not a word smith.
I've got a love hate relationship with Herbert Fraught, I'll swear off of them and be pissed off for 6 months, then forget and go back. Then realize I've bought another tool shaped object, or five of them, then back to boycott.
@@Cinder2008 They got some good stuff, but I have other things that are just like you said. 20 years ago their drill bits were top notch, now if you look at them wrong they break. The last straw on this round of pissed off was a three jaw puller, the friggin arm had "FORGED" stamped on it, well when they break and you can see the cast under the chrome....first use of course. But I've had other things too, a belt sander that lasted for over 10 rough years, that I actually miss, the new on just don't feel the same.
