I tried my first bit of smaller white water this summer for the first time. Super fun. I'm a cyclist and just wore one of my bike helmets. I haven't seen a water sports helmet up close. What's the difference if any? I've got a wall of bike helmets to chose from. Anything from full face DH helmets to skate/bmx style helmets. Most with MIPS. Any reason to not wear one of those? I'd love to not buy another helmet. I need to get ride of a whole bunch of them as it is. Thank you and thanks for making this video.
Hey Brian, sorry for the delay on getting back to you on this. Definitely you can use a bike helmet but I would definitely opt for more of a skate BMX style helmet with a harder outer skin. I wouldn't go for a lighter weight cycling helmet just because it might not offer you enough protection around the back of the head and some of these helmets are designed for one impact only if you get me. It sounds like you've got something that will do the job in your garage :-) Hope that helps thanks Reuben
