Geek squad guy here. If it makes you feel better, the LG G series are incredible and our repair guys do A LOT of Sony tv repairs. I’m glad you didn’t have a bad experience. The air quotes threw me off. And than you clarify because we’re just regular guys lololol
200,000 a big number and so well deserved. I will raise a pint in your direction in the pub tonight, cheers Omar and congratulations from England … yes all of us 😀
I repair these and other tvs for my job, thanks for not mounting this 10 feet up above a 5 foot tall fireplace. I had to work on one of these 77g3s on Friday. Putting it back up was not fun lol. They do look phenomenal though. I still use my plasma for my movie watching though.
Huge tv, lots of luck, enjoy. Tv perfect pick, speakers, fantastic. You will have many years of enjoyment. I too had geek squad but I paid. You scored big with this purchase. Best Buy’s geek squad the only way to go
Omar, congrats on reaching the 200K subscriber mark. I also used Best Buy Geek Squad to install my Sony TV. Similar experience that you had...recommend Best Buy Geek Squad if your installing a new tv.
All services were free until June 2023, once the higher ups at BB/Geek Squad decided to change their total tech plan. I have had multiple TVs mounted, Ring cams installed, etc ALL FREE!!! Now, everything is expensive when it comes to TV mounting, furniture assembly, etc.
Cool video. Recently got a c3 and love it upgraded from an 8 year old lg. darn it when you kept saying LG G3 it kept triggering my C3 voice searching functions… hahahaha. Didn’t even know it had one for RU-vid 😂😂😂😂👍🏻
Free installation? Wow. I was quoted $250.00 for installation in California from the Geek Squad. Free stand? I paid $150.00 for the wall mount. I do like BestBuy and have supported them on TV and computer purchases for several years. The best deal I ever received was during Black Friday on a complete Sony Tv system for my son. It included a 65 inch tv, sound bar, subwoofer, surround sound speakers, wall mount, and a blue ray player. All Sony and an awesome system. We had a handy man help us install it. It was $160.00 for his help. If your tv is not level, check the back of the mount for an adjustment using an Allen wrench. That’s what we did to ultimately get our tv to level after the handyman left it about 1/4 inch off level.
Best Buy let me down on their extra warranty. On the Sony OLED, they would not cover burn in, only a failure. So now anytime a scene shows mostly yellow, you can read a bunch of burned in words and designs.
What a fun video. I have the g2. Funny, I do the same thing and watch a bunch of movies to see the upgrade. The first movie was Blade Runner 2049. I got Dragonslayer and How to train your dragon for nest movie night. Enjoy.
Best Buy and free install? That’s quite the odd promotion that I had never seen when I worked there for about four years. Glad you got to take advantage of it though.
I worked for Best Buy from '07 to '13 in home theater and Magnolia. There were plenty of instances of free install promos. Obviously wasn't an all the time thing but it definitely happened occasionally
In have a G2 and I also feel like it's too dark in places. Like shadow details are completely missing or dark hair is just one flat black colour. Did you leave the black level raised or figure out a better solution? I wonder if calibration would solve it.. after all, an OLED should produce an image closer to the creators intent than any other screen technology. Are we just used to the raised blacks of LED backlights? Did the creators intend for the shadows to have no visible detail? perhaps.. No matter what content I watch, I get frustrated that I cannot see any details in dark areas, and that bright areas in the same scene also seem way too bright, so my eyes adjusting to the bright areas make it even harder to see dark areas.. As a hobbyist photographer who likes to raise shadows to reveal all the detail, seeing content with no shadow detail can be frustrating and distracting, especially in scenes where the environment seems to be lit up but shadows are still completely black. this is not a black crush issue, as I have done plenty of black level tests and I can see the darkest shades before true black.
3guys ... How much extra for that service ???? I Got a Samsung 75" last christmas for $499. ...... Of course not high end But still Really Great !!! I agree about the LG Blacks are Way too Black...... Hope You enjoy it :) :) :)
