Gorgeous Charger that brings back a bus load of memories. At the start of the 1980’s I was nearing the high school finish line. I bought a barn find 68 Charger R/T that had been in a collision many years prior that had the powertrain, seats etc stripped out. After repair/rebuild/repaint on a part time job and scavenger budget, I drove it daily to high school. 101 reasons why the 80’s were awesome.
I always loved the sound of those old Mopars. When the camera went to the back of the car, I could feel my cellphone vibrate from the exhaust tone. No joke. .
In my humble opinion, this is one of the best designs of a car, ever! And THE best looking American car ever made. I mean, look at it! I prefer the ‘68 but it’s very close.
What an absolutely beautiful car! As a kid of the 80s nothing makes me happier than seeing the General in all of his glory. I LOVED the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid and I'd give anything to have a car like this. Just flat out awesome!!
THAT is Freakin' AWESOME! LOVE that year of the Charger, and as a General Lee! The General looks so good with that chrome trim along the C-Pillar. Some people don't. I think it accents the top of the rear quarter panel, AND the Original General Lee had it!
Oh my God, the sound of this thing starting and pulling out the garage is testing is just amazing. Love you boss for showing this thing to us. There is the most amazing car I ever seen in my life.
I’ve always thought this Challenger was the most breathtaking car I’ve ever seen. The Dukes Of Hazzard was one of my favorite shows and the General Lee was one of the biggest reasons. My Matchbox version stayed on my knee the whole time while I watched the show. LOVED HEARING YOU BLOW THE HORN!!💪
Beautiful car reminds me of when I went to the dukes fest in Atlanta Motor Speedway and got to run around the track with John Schneider. And his personal driver at very high speed 15 years ago... At dukes fest I have meet everyone that are still living as well have a lot of dukes merchandise. It brings back wonderful memories thank you for this wonderful memory God bless you and again very beautiful car love it
Wow, very sharp looking 1969 "General Lee" Dodge Charger. I'd rather have this second generation body styled Dodge Charger than I would the brand new one😊❤👍
Besides it needing a better horn (hard to find I know) This is a very good example of a general Lee done correctly I hate when I see Lee replicas and they have black interior or the orange is slightly off but who ever built this one did an amazing job and the signatures on the dash put the icing on the cake
Thanks for sharing the video. Beautiful car and backdrop of snow and the American 🇺🇸 in the background. I happened to see signatures on the grove box door. Is that from the cast of the show or perhaps the restoration team to make that beautiful. Just curious if you’d share.
