The Genius of Doctor Robotnik (Sonic Bosses Cover) 

I love Sonic. I love the music, some of the best created in video game history. The boss music has always been badass and catchy. This cover just proves how amazing the music is and totally makes it better for it. Excellent work.

I'm 24. I've had those games since I was a kid. Playin' them again is really nostalgic~

Its funny how when back in the day the games sounded as large as this, and now you play through them they seem almost like mini-games with how easy they are.

Dr Robotnik is the greatest video game villain of all time. He is evil supreme, he is an evil genius, he has built his robot army, and he takes Sonic on himself instead of hiding in a castle or base.

In the british fleetway comics, Dr. Ivo Kintober was the "good" version of robotnik, however an accident occured when he was purifying the chaos emeralds. The result was that Dr. Ivo absorbed its destructive energy and became Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Robotnik is Kintober backwards, possibly to show a reverse in his psychology). I quite liked that origin story for robotnik, throughout the comics you can see a steady decline in his mental state until he becomes completely psychotic.

@MajBlood Don't forget to mention the fact that he shows mercy, and since Sonic Adventure, teams up with sonic to save the world a bunch of times.

@Joey19990 After the EndGame, Robotnik "dies" and Robo Robotnik takes over, later he gets a new body and Sonic and friends starts calling him "Eggman" so time passed, Robo Robotnik started calling him self Eggman because he starts losing his mind, then more time passed he went crazy after Sonic beated him, he went into a crazy house, then broke out he then thought he was Robotnik, not sure if he is still crazy I dont have all the comics myself.

Holy crap! I just stumbled on these videos. First Dr. Wily's Castle, then Ken's Stage, and now this. This is just awesome!

@ShadowmancerLord Consider this: that irritating hedgehog is capable of supersonic movement and crashing into robots made out from metal without taking himself any damage. He is pratically a living oversized bullet.

I sense that people were arguing the whole Robotnik/Eggman thing. Just to clarify, in the game canon, Eggman and Robotnik have always been the same person. "Robotnik" being his American name, while "Eggman" was the good doctor's moniker in Japan. With Sonic Adventure, Robotnik and Eggman have become interchangeable as the fat man's name. Hope that unnecessary explanation helped.

What are the odds we get a rehash of this medley that adds on Sonic Mania's boss theme?

@jonlscott No, what really killed it was it was the only machine that he had that could knock out of being Super Sonic if the hands grabbed you and slammed you to the ground.

@bodfe34 He teamed up with them like two times. Besides, Dr. Robotnik knows not to fight when he cannot win. It is called a tactical retreat.

@MajBlood He has an IQ of 300 but builds robots that can be killed by a mutated blue hedgehog. He builds GIANT FUCKING MECHAS that can be killed by something under two feet tall. It's worse than the Death Star. He's a freaking comic relief villain

Has anyone noticed the tones of the Robotnik themes. Sonic 1 boss theme was kinda like "I will beat you... eventually...." Sonic 2 theme was like "Ok, you got me last titme, but I'll kick your ass now. Sonic 3 theme was like "GAAAAAAAH!!! DIE SONIC DIEEEEEEE!!!!" And fuck the shitty themes they use in sonic games now, they should hire These guys to do the theme for the next one.

@didowexbox no, it was because Sonic Adventure introduced unnecessary characters, bad voice acting, inconsistent framerate (more noticable in the Dreamcast version), and a bad 3D camera to the Sonic series.

Actually, it was always Eggman in Japan.(And you can see "eggman" written across winged fortress in Sonic 2. Plus, Death "Egg")

Play Labyrinth Zone from Sonic 1 and try and say that again. 3 Acts of underwater hell, and it was awesome.

i thought sonic 1 was a quick "hi, time for someone to get owned.", sonic was like more "friendly", even, sonic 3 sounded more evil. But you have a point, they do sound a bit like you say. And anyway, I'm not a warrior against opinions.

I don't know, I kind of like some of the newer Robotnik themes. Especially E.G.G.M.A.N., that's my all-time favorite!

@Joey19990 No Prob. I am also trying to collect all the Sonic games, only missing a few. Oh, and if you want to know where to find the comics, they are not really easy to find nowadays, theres a place called Borders, you might find one in the mall.

Sonic 1 was always the hardest Sonic game to me. I actually don't think I ever finished it.

in theory if it was just a simple port then the origonal code put in by the programmers would still be there, think of it like photocopying.

I did beat contra without cheating on coop mode but I'm not a big contra fan but its a cool series. I can beat sonic without dieing once it was hard for me years ago but the game is just to easy for me now also I still use that cheat if I just wanna skip to scrap brain, final boss or get the 1st chaos emerald before I start the game.

I CANT BELIEVE IT,BUT SEGA ARE REMAKING THE 1ST SONIC GAME FROM GENESIS (MEGADRIVE) INTO A CRZY 3D-2D GAME LIKE SONIC UNLEASHED TO THE PS3,360,AND WII, (by the wayi wrote the consoles in order of how good they are,lol)

Sonic's Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic3, and Sonic and Knuckles for the Sega Genesis titles and Sonic CD for Sega CD are still the best Sonic games, the new Sonic games just can't compare to the legacy of the originals. Sega better not screw up Project Needlemouse like they have with most recent Sonic titles.

@pokeplayer935 Robotnik's death machines and badniks are much more creative I think. You make the mistake of comparing Megaman's buster shot to Sonic's jump. In fact, Sonic's spin dash alone would probably be close to three fully charged megabuster shots.

@infectionsman You know what? I can't really comment on that because I never played it. Not my kind of thing to play that kind of game. But most people do seem to over rate those kind of games only because of the graphics out side of that, it's all the same.
