WOW! "EUREKA" is what I'm left with after your video. You've answered so many questions I didn't even know I had about him. Up until know, I've always felt like like "half a fan". Music vs. Lyrics. IDK if that makes any sense? However, Today, I feel 💯% & more of a fan than ever. THANKS 2U?? ❤❤
I know that After Hours & Dawn FM are part of a new trilogy, but as someone who is an "early supporter" as you put it, After Hours also always felt like a spiritual successor to Kiss Land to me. Both albums just sound so honest and personal, one being his first studio album, an album that still has the same tone & persona, and one being the album with not only his biggest hit, but THE biggest hit ever (Blinding Lights) but still having a song like Escape from LA keeping the honest, personal, and self reflective tone that Kiss Land had
I have no problem with him changing his lyrics & topics into something more positive. The one thing I hope for is that he doesn’t switch the genre & stays R&B & Pop, with dope production & hypnotic sound
He is gonna be the only artist in the history of music industry to have such balls to make this transition! His story telling and message is beyond words. He literally talks all about how we all are trapped in human bodies in DAWN FM
Abel’s music has been a huge part of my life. I’ve listened to him in my lowest, my highest, my best and worst. For years i’ve adored his genius albums and appreciated how his songs have been there for me. I’m happy to see him grow and become the person he is after having a tough beginning‼️‼️‼️‼️ i’m happy to see RU-vidrs talking about him more and giving him the credit he deserves 🫶🫶🫶 thank you
Been listening since 2012. My brother had downloaded some of the Trilogy songs on his xbox. It was the first time I actively went out of my way to listen to an album. I've been hooked since day 1 of hearing him. My normal reaction to artists even 11 years later is "this song is cool, but the rest of the album is meh". I've had every single one of the Weeknd's album on repeat when they come out, and even years after. I know some fans don't like how he changed sonically after the first Trilogy, but I really like how he has evolved over the years. It would be no fun listening to the same album (sound) on repeat forever. After Hours and Dawn FM are already in my top 3 Weeknd albums all time. I have a feeling this new Trilogy will be his best 3 albums so far. Not sure how long he can keep it up, but I can listen to him until I grow old. There will never be another artist like him
nice stuff man I have been listening to him since 2011 so I remember the mixtape days and when he had like 10k followers on IG, crazy to see how far he got. The third album will not be called After Life but there will be a song on that album called after life, I saw some tweet or quote where he said that the name is different than we all think but that a song named like that will be on the new album. Also he said that the last album will be the last one as The Weeknd and there will be no featurings on that album, on the AHTD tour he said that Another one of me is his last featuring under the name The Weeknd which means that just like after hours he will not have anyone on the album
This may be somewhat a stretch, but i think the transition from the weekend persona into abel tesfaye is already underway. My theory is about the after hours til dawn tour, and how the changes in how its presented from leg 1 to leg 2. The first leg was somewhat dark and mysterious, reflecting Dawn FM & AA, but the second leg's choice of more lighter tones and mainly outdoor venues than indoors may be something of note, especially the change from the mask old man weeknd is placed in for Dawn FM for first leg to the silver MF DOOM inspired mask of the second leg, as well as adding songs from the idol into the setlist for leg 2.
I still remember finding his music in early 2011 .. saw him live at the House Of Blues in New Orleans and then Dallas (2013) I believe these were his very first shows ever in the US. He told my story better than I ever could have .. insane how much I could relate .. still blows my mind and hard to even understand to this day but he's just the best to ever do it in my book?
his best era, mystique was still there, hardcore dark sex rnb songs, he was slaying all collabs and everyone was curious who is the guy with the pineapple hair. damn (musically yeah trilogy still the best but his bbtm era was amazing experience for a fan)
Not me being late to the party but I made it! I love your insights. I am team re-birth. Having gone through something similar in 2020, I know leaving that old you behind is one of the most amazing things you can do. You've put a lot of effort into this video. Definitely gonna check out the others. That shirt is amazing - both of them. Keep it up, Jason. Love and Light ✨
I've been fully invested in the tales of the GOAT for awhile now. From before Catharsis to Metamorphosis, he has found so many ways to shine as a genius.
Plain and simple the record labels own the name The Weeknd and now he knows he needs to change to Abel to make his own….artist change names because this a lot look it up….but I could be wrong
Oh WOW, amazing!!! Thanks for the video I like to watch it and I like the T-Shirt you do for Abel. And that you can give it to him and he wore it is soooo amazing, congratulations 🎉! I really can’t wait for what he do next. And I would love to see him be happy and find his inner peace and make music and his art with that inspiration. I think it will be different but also very good because he is an amazing unique artist. I love his „old“ music but also the new things and I love how he always finde a new unique art to express and do a special art. I love how he do all that and how he give it to us as his fans. And his way as and person and as an artist, his behavior is admirable to me…. So I can’t what for what comes next… ❌⭕️❤
So basically his next album is going to be about after life , how he was reborn and shows what human being he is . After Hours and Dawn FM does have a connection tho cos as you can see , Red represents blood and Black represents darkness , so we never know that in his next album it might be white where he is reborn and a whole different person. And the story are different as well
Amazing video man! Everything from the audio and the visuals were just so good and very informative too! There's no way you've just a few hundred subscribers. Keep making more cool vids bro!
It's gonna take me a while to get used to it but i won't mind, even tho the name is ICONIC i think its understandable, and we should all support him, if it's something he has to do to be happy i wish the best for him.
A friend of mine suggested it would make sense to quit at this stage because he already reached a “peak”. I didn’t include that perspective into the video but it does make sense
Id love a classical reggae/duplate album from the weeknd... i think his voice would translate really well Like a linval thompson (curfew) or junior west (splash it out) cover would be insane.
Why have someone who talks about the devil…promotes sinning and wordly ideas make a gospel album? Are you serious. He is not a spiritual man definitely not a godly man he is the opposite. He promotes the devils way of thinking rather than gods way of thinking in his life and music and videos
@@Sc-vk1gnI agree with you. It’s crazy a lot of Christian’s actively engage in these satanic activities and encourage others who do it as well. Nothing about the weekend strikes me as religious, unless he repents and moves away from what he’s been doing with music.
I can see why you think this is the trilogy by your understanding but as one XO fan to another. I believe his trilogy is over and now is beginning the Abel era. Which he isn't the first to do this. If anyone remember Prince??? Yes I'm that old, LoL I've been a fan since 2014. I've heard every piece of work this artist has put out. I wouldn't leave out Beauty behind the madness or Starboy. I mean the Idol and My dear Melancholy were side projects, for sure I believe that.
You had me until Gospel album. I'll pretend you never said that or it was a joke lol --- As side from that statement, great interpretation. I would agree with most of what you are saying. He is such an genius and I am truly grateful to be here to experience it all. "Another one of me won't come around again..."
Bruuh ik zat naar jouw stem te luisteren en dacht ergens misschien ben jij Nederlander, vanwege het accent. Toen later zag ik die screenshot toen had ik het door 😂
The examples of tweets of people who hate his music....who cares about them? All artists get examples of that type of hate on social media. There is no rationality for it, sometimes it is just taste. Hell, some folks (black women) carry a grudge against him because of his dating choices and because he doesn't have exclusively black ladies as his love interests in his videos. You can't reach those people and frankly they aren't worth going after. What I see as The Weeknd's biggest problem is that I have never known an artists of his level who has soooooo many hits songs who is still unknown to so many music listeners. You can check out the responses on the his songs throughout RU-vid. There are so many comments by folks who were totally unaware that he even song those particular songs. Instead they think it was done by Beiber or Bruno Mars or even Chris Brown.. Some think his songs were previously unreleased Michael Jackson tunes. Many still think of The Weeknd as a band and at least half spell his stage name wrong. There has never been such a successful artist as unknown as The Weeknd. The name change will probably confuse them more. LOL.
im a huge weeknd fan but, i dont think ill be a fan of Abel Tesfaye. however that does not mean the singer wont have my support obviously ill support xo forever fr fr but his new stuff isnt for me there are some songs i like obviously no denying that but the No features take is really wild as i loved seeing him harmonize his vocals with other talented artists. L or W opinion?
