Our sisters and younger adults need to be schooled very well on issues like this. I am a victim of this same issue, cuz my hubby and i never did the genotype test before marriage, the church asked us all other test to be done except this genotype, also for the fact that i and hubby were ignorant so where our parents, we were joined together as husband and wife. Am a mother of 3 beautiful children a boy and two girls. One of the girl is ss. Presently am in hospital with her. I must confess it has not been easy. All i know is in the days of ignorant God's mercy prevail, his mercy will prevail over us. We have been calling on God concerning her indeed he has been so Faithful to us, she dose not fall sick to often, we get to transfused on her once a year or almost 2yrs. Every young persons planning to get married should be very careful not to compromise cuz of love of a thing. The lord will help us all

By the grace of God I am a 64 year old SS genotype survivor and the mercy of the Lord continues to abound towards me and am trusting HIM to reach the biblical three score and ten. The issue of Genotype is a key thing that must be considered. To avoid future issues and pains for the kids. The parent only goes through stress and spendings but the children suffers severe pain of being sickle cell. I won’t worry only if there is a conviction of which there has to be confirmations which I believe will rarely happen. But it is very important to pay a significant attention to the issue of genotype. That’s my own take on it. God bless you sir
The issue of Genotype is actually a serious issue but its a pity such issue is not addressed by many except few. People really need to be enlightened. Before you start a relationship, let Conviction, Love and Medical Sense Lead.
If the genotype is not right, don't do it. Am an SS, each time the crisis come , i can't do anything tangible until it lives me. Even if You said God directs you to continue, go to him more than seven times until HE frowns 😢 at you to continue, seek more counsels from only spirit filled leaders.

What God cannot do doesn’t exist I strongly believe that too but at times there are some things that common sense should guide you to avoid rather than putting your self in a long life time bondage and instead of praying to other things you will be entangled in praying for something you could have avoided. The only thing that can personally make me go into such there must be series of convictions and confirmation by the spirit of God then I know the future is secured and settled.

As could seen with how the guy reacted, he wasn't convicted before about marrying that lady. If he was, he could have syood on his convictions or accepting to tarry in the place of prayer again for the next step. He was too quick to exit like he was never there in the first place
Miracles of genotype help is only one out of ten, most people nowadays want to live their life on the one and not on the remaining 9 reality. People with one percent are very few even in the church so why would I begin praying and i saw God's will, and want to base it on one percent?
Hmmm..its well. My dad is AA and my mum is AA but when it was time for marriage I did my test and came out AS. When I asked they told me it's possible but on rare occasion for children to come out with genotypes from grandparents. Abeg, nobody should assume genotype o. Go for test. Me I did mine twice in two different places to be sure. My sister too is AS. I wanted to doubt my parents but then my step brother from my dad's second wife is also AS. But his mum is AA. Test is very important.
