@@Blue_SkyZero it is fake. It was never a problem. It was a client side 3rd party tool to make it appear that an entity disappeared. It did not affect anyone. Hoyo only made a statement to stop parrots from continuing to spread panic. The people that started the hoax got a 10 year ban.
Though Kaveh felt underestimated by Alhaitham, He felt like he wanted more, He wanted to do the unthinkable, with just by snapping a finger like he used the Infinity Gauntlet to take over, he really was a mastermind! He broke Genshin Impact!
My friend has Kaveh so I made her use the elemental skill of Kaveh on me and then I teleported away and said "omg it logged out" and I didn't expect it but she even believed that. So yeah I kept doing that for 5 mins and when she realised I just teleported she said something like "I'm sending Klee to your house"
I was a Kaveh main who had no clue about the glitch until after the fact and I was wondering why no one was letting my go and fish in their world I just wanted some fish
Honestly I was thriving, considering I don't play coop and got a lot of Kaveh content that was not Kaventhan 😭😭 (edit: don't get me wrong, I love Kaventham I just wanted more solo Kaveh content that's all)
Kaveh is actually such a wholesome character, so this exploit turning him into an Oppenheimer meme is kinda sad. Poor dude was already mischaracterized enough by the fandom as it was, with him being written off as "Haitham's bitchy roonmate" or "Haitham's yaoi bitch", he doesn't deserve this.
I thought it fit and gave him notoriety. He's an architect, who works so hard to create structures, but now he's ascended and can destroy them just as easily. Also, after being thru so much shit he finally snaps.
As the strongest architect, Kaveh, fought the King of Frauds, he begun to open his domain, Dottore shrunk back in fear and then Kaveh said: "Stand Proud Dottore, you're strong" **deletes him from existence**
Had to defend a Kaveh main who spoke broken English the day after they fixed the exploit. He truly humbled a Scaramouch main by just joining their world for artifact farming. It was a sight to see the host go from "I'll carry y'all plebeians" to "Plz Kaveh don't delete me or my world and my children"
The worst thing is the "fake or not" situation that was caused. Cuz the real threat was fixed in like 1 or 2 days. But after that some people started making fake videos via private servers (so no threat for real players), and this is how Nahida also appeared in some videos. And it caused a lot of mess, it took me a while to figure out what actually happened back then.
@@RKNancyfrom what i've heard, it was real, but it was fixed within 1 to 2 days. people caught fire of this hack and replicated it in private servers for views, that's why there was a clip of nahida deleting items too. so in conclusion, it was a real thing, but a lot of it was faked
The most funny (and sad) thing in all of this is the character himself. Kaveh. Probably THE MOST PURE AND GOOD CHARACTER LORE-WISE WHO MADE HIMSELF HOMELESS BECAUSE OF HIM BEING SO PURE AND GENEROUS TO OTHER PEOPLE XDDDDDDDD
I found some more funny comments on the interactive map: 1) waypoints around Asimon pyramid in the desert. 2) Just check out all Sumeru domains, man. They are way too funny. 3) Domain in the island east of Liyue. 4) The waypoints around Liyue harbor (especially west of it) have got some... interesting images too.
To be more specific, there was an exploit (an error in the game's code) that let you change the Item ID that Kaveh or Nahida could delete. (using a third-party software) The exploit was patched out of the game, and this glitch is no longer possible.
I’m just happy that Hoyo fixed it and gave people back their things. This is why I only do coop with ppl I know unless it’s for an event especially Windblume cuz I love that event
Friendly reminder that this wasn't a real bug but a hack, and the "victims" were the ones doing it to spread panic. No normal players on normal servers were affected by this
I think people have over-reacted after the video of the demonstration spread, although there was never any real proof that it actually reached global servers, it was mostly CN server players that got affected, some people say it was staged to create chaos, some people say it was true, until now, no one knows the truth behind it.
It's true, Hoyo literally twitted about it on Genshin's account saying that they fixed it and were working on fixing people's accounts that got affected.
After the patch Kaveh has been sentenced to the Sanctuary of Surasthana to be imprisoned at the highest security and stripped away of his Vision and belongings until version 5.1
Day 15 thanking Mujin for making my day! I don't play co-op often so I couldn't relate to this problem but good that it was fixed. Let's hope nothing like that will happen in future
I remember even seeing a kaveh leads to global panic And the fact that even if you don’t hack you can get kicked for it (My favourite part is using kaveh when someone talks trash about me, gotta scare the child a little)
As far as i remember the person whose stuff was deleted in the video was in cahoots with the Kaveh-guy. Which meant as long as you didn't have that program installed you'd be fine. And hoyo banned both of them. So no real dmg was made. It was all panic, misinformation, rumors and memes. Also a lot of edited videos which in its core were all fake. I don't remember anyone who really was a victim of that "bug". But it was amazing how two people were able to make so many people panic at once in such a short period of time. The whole community was in uproar. Fascinating.
you're right! in chinese what theyre saying is essentially discussing what can be deleted, and the scara in the game saying he'll start to record a video and to start deleting
Imagine if famous exploiters like the Spiffing Brit, Ymfah or worst, Josh from Let's game it out plays Genshin...... Spiff would somehow summon Reanu Keeves and make a dmg 99999999 weapon while praising Fontaine for its tea + slandering Fontaine for being French in typical British Fashion. Ymfah will manage to beat all the archon quests and bosses without walking somehow Josh from Let's game it out will force Hoyoverse to replace their servers after he lagged everyone's game from fps to seconds per frame lmao "Oh no~ Hello slideshow!"
Josh would find a way to gather all the “pickable” objects in the world in one single spot and say “Now I gotta now. Is there a limit?” then proceed to murder the fps while also finding a way to break the game and spawn a t-posing Lumine alongside the unknown god.
I've never been so thankful being such an antisocial person. The last time I let another person enter my world (excluding me and my friends playing coop together, so I'm talking about strangers here) was probably 2 years ago since I played since patch 1.0. Not even Kaveh is allowed in my world because I generally just don't let people in because I just don't want to socialize 😂.
Btw, hoyo release a statement about it and clearly stated that this was done in a private server, where the Kaveh and the “victim” were in on it. No evident was found that this was done on an actual hoyoverse server
one of my friends is a kaveh main and she couldnt get anyone to let her in their worlds bc of that hack. i just ignored all co-op requests unless they were from close friends that i had known from other sites like discord or from rl b4 adding them on genshin, even if the co-op request didnt come from someone with a kaveh picture bc i was paranoid i would lose smt important in my world. poor kaveh will never been seen the same again😂

1. It was permanent(-ish since it's manually restorable) unless you contacted Hoyo. 2. It was not a bug, it was a hack/3rd party plug-in. This categorization part is what made the community go paranoid.
I like to think there is a Bizzaro Genshin universe, and in that universe are just terrifying alternate versions of the characters. Kaveh the destroyer, Faceless Ayato, what’s next? Cannibal Xiangling? Diona the poison scientist? *Amber the useful?*
The situation has already been resolved, Mihoyo even posted an official statement on it. It has actually always been safe to invite Kaveh mains, because it happened on a private server and was staged.
I've seen some guy invade during the Inazuma Quest and delete a character you needed to talk to in order to continue your archon quest. So now they're unable to continue the game.
As someone who never plays in co-op and always has it turned off I experienced this world destroyer arc with a laughter and pop corn in my hands without worrying a bit about my world

... wow, what this tells us about how Genshin Impact is implemented under the hood is hilarious. It's apparently persisting the entire state of the world, not just flags saying things like "waypoint x activated" and "chest y collected". That seems risky as heck, because, well, this can happen. It also implies the server trusts the client *way* more than it should. why would the client even be telling it the item ID to delete instead of just saying "cast ability x". Sure, the client should know what the abilities do so it can do predictive stuff by removing the things visually without a round trip, but like... we've understood this problem since the days where we used services like DWANGO rather than the internet!
For context, for the chinese conversation, the owner of the world said to delete a time trial. Which the kaveh later replied that he didn't see that earlier. Then the owner of the world then said that he was recording a video. We can deduct one thing is that those players probably know each other, possibly friends. The clip shown after the Chinese conversation was probably a demonstration on how the glitch works, but hey at least the owner already finished the puzzle before kaveh deleted them/ or he doesn't need said puzzles anymore. Though, right after the time trial deletion, I'm not sure if its a joke anymore as they deleted the luxurious chest, better hope it was a second account not a main account.
