This song has a strange place in my heart. I know it's about weebs and their obsession with waifus, but for me it resonates with a time when my schizophrenia had the better of me and the line between imagination and reality was far more unstable. I was in love with a figment of my imagination, and I knew that, but it was all I really had at the time. This song really nails the feeling of knowing it's not real but holding on regardless, convincing yourself that you're being strong for not letting the world take your love away from you. But you're just fleeing from reality and into your own head. The fact that the song acknowledges how silly it is to do that, but also the logic that leads to doing it away, it's kinda nice, it feels like I'm being understood even though I know that's not what this song is about lol
