The geology and history of the Knysna (Millwood) goldfield.
Chris Bargmann is Director & Principal Consultant at Sodor Geosciences
He is a UK-based geologist from where he runs his own geological consultancy, Sodor Geosciences. He has a BSc Degree in Geology from Leicester University and an MSc in Mineral Resources from Cardiff University.
Chris spent his early career working and living in Southern Africa, initially with De Beers in Botswana and then in South Africa with JCI. Following the completion of his MSc in 1999, Chris worked for mining industry consulting groups in the UK and several mining and mineral exploration companies in a variety of countries, including Argentina, Armenia, Colombia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Chris has extensive experience of running mineral exploration programmes in the MENA region and within the Arabian Nubian Shield (ANS) in particular. He spent nine years working in Sudan and Saudi Arabia, resulting in a unique and extensive knowledge of the geology and mineral deposits of the region.
