Here is another FULL EPISODE of late 90's TNN series "the George Jones Show". This episodes guests of the George Jones Show were Roy Clark, Randy Travis and Neil McCoy. I claim no rights or ownership to the material. Narrated by Ed Bruce. Produced by Billy Galvin. If anyone associated with the TNN network, or with any entertainer featured in these videos does not wish for me to display these videos on youtube for ANY reason, please contact me and I will remove the video without question!
I believe this constitutes a 'fair use' of any such copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US Copyright Law. In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107, the material here is distributed without profit to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included information for research and educational purposes. My sole purpose in posting these "Classic Country" related videos is my own attempt to make the younger generation aware of these older artists and what they contributed to music. I will accept no profit, nor will I claim any ownership of material.
I have tried to improve the quality of these uploads using different software, BUT, unfortunately I had satellite TV back in 98 when I recorded these which would fade in and out with a horrible digital grain quite often. To make things worse the original VHS tapes are now 17+ years old and starting to degrade. I have made these as clear as I can possibly get them. There was no HD in 1998! I apologize for the poor quality! Hopefully they will see fit eventually to release these on DVD!

Man these videos capture some of Country music's greatest artist to ever exist. George is my favorite, and I've got a cassette tape of Randy's called "Storms of Life" that has been played by me alone more times than I can count.

Dang George singing in his true singing voice not his put on one is absolutely one of the most beautiful voices you’ll ever hear! 13:40 Edit: I don’t mean this in any bad way at all. It’s just that… I really think after listening to him sing for so long he “overdid” his tone/accent a lot of times… yet he still pulled it off better than anyone else in country music history… it’s just refreshing to hear him without the additional flair for once. I hope you lifers will understand. He’ll always be the greatest.

12:00 I'm marking that spot for myself. One of my favorite parts of this episode is when Roy sings the song Last Letter From Me. That's the first time I've heard that song.
@banditdarville96
@banditdarville96 6 лет назад
Okay, I've educated myself more on this song. For myself and others that didn't know about this gem of a song it was written in 1937 by Rex Griffin after his wife left him, and the name of it is "The Last Letter." Not Last Letter From Me as I mistakenly guessed in my previous comment.

When tammy met George always thought was when her true happiness began. They married, George adopted her three daughters by her first marriage then George and Tammy had their first beautiful daughter Tammy Georgette Jone. Grew up to Look alot like her daddy and sing like her mommy. A beautiful family. Really sad when this family core fell apart. Believe something Tammy and George regretted the rest of their life.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

At the 00:33:15 mark , Roy is talking about Fizzies which were meant for Camping and bought in sheets of 8 just like AlkaSeltzer singles in foil . He must have had the adult Vitamin C version because I had them as a kid and they came in Rootbeer, Grape, Cherry, Orange and Cola. All you needed was a glass of water and you made Soda pop as you needed it. I did break a piece off one time and popped it in my mouth.....it sucked up the saliva and stuck to my tongue and just Fizzed like crazy while the Rootbeer flavour was super sweet and murder to swallow. Us kids would borrow the camping cup that were collapsable and a like disk to carry in our pockets , then ride around on our bikes and stop later to find tap water and make drinks with a Fizzie. It must have be murder for Roy because it would just fizz until it's done and if he washed it down he'd have burp for about 5 minutes.

+Tor Aage Dyrseth Zdrinka There aren't many more unfortunately. However there are still a couple that I have yet to convert from VHS to digital so I can upload them. Going through and copying the hundreds of VHS tapes that I had has taken a while, and sadly many of them simply don't play well anymore. I think there are only two remaining episodes of this show that I haven't posted, the other episode with Merle Haggard and the one with Connie Smith. I'll get the on here, I promise!!!
