Gex definitely has a place as something that doesn't have to be deep. Honestly, I respect that the Gex franchise didn't take itself too seriously. Yes, the references mean he's not for everyone, but I have to wonder if what he said and did continued to adapt throughout time. Perhaps as shallow as Gex is, he can adapt. He spends his time watching TV and movies so he becomes this continued vehicle for these parody adventures.

I watched the video to the end. Although Gex wasn't as popular as other 90s platformers, I enjoyed it. I have finished all 3 games. I look forward to Gex Trilogy.

I subconsciously bought Gex on the Sega Saturn last week and I actually enjoyed the game but it pissed me off at the final stage before I could beat the game and it has no passwords to continue at that point and I almost broke my controller so I’m taking a break.

I like Gex as well, but does 'hidden gem' really mean anything at this point when practically everything gets called a 'hidden gem' these days? XD

Well, you are right at some point. Still, there are many people who never heard of Gex I guess, so calling it hidden gem also makes it easier what to expect in general (I guess lol)
