MOS FF Check out the Ten Foot Faces from the early 80's. Possibly the first band since the Ventures to play 3 Mosrites ! their 1st 7" ep on Independent Projects Records features some serious garage surf thrash, and was recorded in an actual garage by Vitus Matare of The Last !
I saw these guys in Vegas about 3 years ago, supporting the legendary Chantays at a Rockabilly, Hotrod & Surf festival. They were a great live act, would love to see them again, but it's a long way to come from Australia. Great guitars and excellent presentation.
I just stumbled on to these guys and I really dig their sound and style. They seem to have that 60's surf rock sound with a spooky twist to it. Can almost see Dracula surfing the pipeline.
This is, hands down, the best music video ever produced! Total production value that deserves recognition. Awesome camera work, the movement, angles, and composition are killer... The static low angle dissolves during the lead...The editing and pacing... The locations...The lighting and effects, the back lit fog...The concept and scripting...There's so much shit going on here! Well Done!
Saw these guys in Vegas at the Cannery a couple of years ago..they were the highlight of the show..I live in Australia and we just don't get much of this stuff out here. Great guitar work and presentation, hope to see them again next time in the USA.
I just pulled out their first cd to listen in my car, and help get ready for Halloween. It's an excellent instrumental CD, with a little funny dialogue between few of the songs.
This brings to mind "THE MONKEES" TV show - the very best part of their show was a "music video" at the end of each episode. Yes they were ahead of their times. One such video had them cavorting around in capes and monster masks ( and other costumes) - this much more focused version refines that very cool imagery. OH! It's like "THE MONKEES" mashed-up with "The MUNSTERS"! - Dig that!
This gives me mental images of Jason Voorhees wearing nothing but his ski mask and swimming trunks surfing after someone, with one hand doing the hang ten sign and the other holding his machete.
this band should play on the rockin scene in England like the Ladywood club in Birmingham they would go down a storm !!!! contact Colin or Burf for details
