German too. And it’s not always intuitive. German word for woman (Frau) is feminine, but the word for girl (Maedchen) is neutral. Why is not feminine??? Why are the words for man and boy both masculine, but the words for woman and girl are not both feminine?? No wonder my mom gave up trying to teach me lol

This was wayyy funnier then it should’ve been. But honestly I feel y’all, I had my Englisch exam (for my final highschool exam in Germany) last week and I had to look up every little word in the dictionary cuz I literally couldn’t spell to save my life
