I love that Leslie has to think about Kate as a umpire before deciding it's the the funniest thing she's imagined and throws her head back and laughs 😂 I love these women.
DamageIncM I think that's a really fair assessment. Despite it overwriting a long-awaited third Ghostbusters, in the hands of good writers, this film has the potential to turn out just fine. Based on the trailers, I have my doubts, but who knows?
DamageIncM Now that Harold Ramis has passed on, an actual third film aside from the video game seems like it could be in poor taste, but once again, clever enough writing could turn it into a heartfelt and funny tribute. Terminator Genisys, while creating various uninspired scenarios and contradictions with the original two films, still had very much the right idea. Having Sarah and Kyle actively grapple with the roles that have been thrust upon them was a smart move. I have plenty of issues with the film, but it was at least in some ways a smart extension of the originals. I've been following this for years too, and we'll just have to accept the fact that this new film at its base can't function as a continuation. As McCarthy stressed in the "Chris Hemsworth" Ellen video, there is still an element of familiarity to the plot. I just hope that element ends up manifesting itself as more charming than cynically repetitive. Time will tell.
Kate: She was like ''Kate Middleton, you're all right'' and I was like ''Leslie, is McKinnon, you know me a year'' Leslie: And then I was like ''So, who is Middleton?'' And she was like ''Is a princess, bitch'' That is my favorite part, HAHAHAHA.
It looks shit....and the characters were always played by men. This is a HUGE change. Idk why They chose women to play tne characters? Maybe because to please the feminists. (I have nothing against feminists.....but i hate feminazies)
come on, they always put the best jokes and scenes on the trailers... and judging by their trailer if those are the best one... cant imagine the other parts...
+Salim Kaka that doesn't make sense?¿ you said " the characters were all played by men, and now they have women as the charaters?" if that's your only problem with this movie than you obviously are sexist.
Caleb Hutchinson No, fans are not fine with the cast (especially since most of them are just copying and pasting their same remarks from eight months ago when the cast was announced). The reboot was necessary to keep the franchise alive (the irony is that it took twenty years just to make this one because the producers were honoring fan boys, but that's like trying to make everyone happy in a perfect way, which is a terrible approach to making movies).
+shindean You clearly have no idea what the bloody hell you're talking about. The movie was nearly perfect, and deserves better than a "comedy" reboot that clearly refuses to show any form of respect to the original
Caleb Hutchinson Showing "respect" to the original is exactly what kept this or any version of Ghostbusters to be made: it couldn't be done properly to make fan boys happy and even Akroyd and Murray kept going back and forth and couldn't get anything accomplished. Now it's out of their hands, out of the fan boys hands, and a new movie can finally be made. I'm glad.
+shindean They didn't have to make one. That was a mistake on their part to spend 20 years in development for a new movie THAT LITERALLY IS NOT THEIRS ANYMORE. What a waste of money and time, if what you're saying is true. Murray is no idiot, so I'm skeptical but it doesn't mean he can't make mistakes
It really bothers me how much misogyny still lingers in 2016. Whenever there's a movie involving a large cast of female comedians, men always feel the need to put them down as much as possible and make sexist jokes all throughout the comment section. You never see women doing this to men. The real reason this Ghostbuster's reboot is getting so much flack is because it's a cast full of women. If this reboot had been done with an all male comedian cast people would probably be excited for it.
I'm gonna have to disagree, I personally, think the movie looks dreadful. This judgement was made from watching the trailers, it has nothing to do with being a largely female cast, I'm obviously a female myself :') This judgement also comes as 'Ghostbusters' is an iconic film, these ladies have very big shoes to fill. Obviously the film could be great, but the marketing and advertising for it give me no hope for that.
Your head must be neck-deep into feminism. My first impression wasn't them being women, but them picking a terrible cast for a movie that touched us when we were children. They deserve to be equally criticized as if they were a terrible male cast. After-all equal opportunity right?
I not only a big fan I´m a huugee fan. Wiig is one of my favorite comedians since I first saw her on SNL, and the rest of the ladies have a special place on my fan heart for many reasons. I will support them on every project. And the rest of this cast fandom will support them too!
They might be a good cast (they're great on SNL), but the point is that there shouldn't be a fucking reboot in the first place. Don't touch what's already perfect.
Just because we like something that you don't doesn't mean we are payed sonybots... a lot of people like kristen, kate, and leslie (from snl) and melissa.
No, I'd be fine with it if they did the movie like Extreme Ghostbusters (the all female cartoon) however, this is a shameless reboot that pays no respect to the original movie (which was damn near a perfect movie!) and they want it to be a full fledged comedy when none of the jokes were funny at all. Special Effects look like crap, jokes look like crap, script looks like crap, shameless reboots themselves are crap, and the director is a big steaming pile of crap
I know the men-ternet think Ghostbusters is going to suck, and by the looks of it, it might. But god damn are these ladies charismatic. This is one of the most charming group interviews I've seen in memory.
I actually liked the movie, it had some funny bits and payed respect to the original + I always love a good portrayal of strong women and female friendship. They are all hilarious in real life!
+LadyDynamitez the reason it's hated is because you've ruined a franchise with a shitty film that's trying to be funny. It should've been made differently and not been related to the originals.
they try to reboot superhero and godzilla movies all the time but no one loses their shit over them, but all-female reboot???!!!! OMG END OF THE WORLD ATTACK OF THE VAGINAS!!!!!
Okay, you keep flip flopping. Re-boot is not the same as a Re-make. This is a Re-boot of the franchise. Not a remake, you know what was a remake? That last shitty Terminator movie, so why aren't you and your cronies complaining about that one as much?
Kate made the whole thing watchable, because she knits people together, with her comedy. It was tense at the beginning, and only her SNL buddy was feeling comfy, and Kate used comedy and charisma to bring it down to a friendly level and make it not as awkward and tense. I'm a huge fan of hers, she's wicked smart, which means her comedy even when its self deprecating is gold. +10
MissMakethingschibi I thought it was mediocre tbh. Good select funny scenes though. Bought it too cause I love these people lol. I don't understand why people like noless up there get so angry over something they simply don't like. It's very overdramatic. I've seen that same person on every comment bash the movie. :/ At least they aren't as bad as the ones just complaining about it being all women oh my Lord that drives me insane 💀
I love them!!! I can imagine the amount of takes they had to take because of all the craziness and humour during filming and I'm sure there was lots of improv.
OMG LESLIE'S LAUGH AT 2:38 almost brought me to tears. I've replayed those 5 seconds like 8 times now. I can't stop replaying it! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 these people are fucking hilarious and I want to hangout with them. omg they're fabulous AF
Seeing them on Ellen (or any other other show) being natural and not confined to cliche movie formula, a lousy script and bad direction like this remake is portraying in the trailers, they are legitimately funny and entertaining. Forget about the idea that it is a remake: the problem with this film (theoretically speaking since I am basing this on the trailers only) is that it is utilizing stereotypes and comedic cliches we have see over and over again and are tired of seeing. That's at least personal view of it all.
+ampersand08 That's why I said "theoretically speaking since I am basing this on the trailers only", indicating I could be wrong about how the trailers are portraying the characters and the film itself. After seeing it, definitely not as bad as people make it out to be. Still not a good film though. Forgettable is the best way to describe it.
+Cole Blackman yo! Eggplant is my favorite food!!!! I am serious! Recipe 1: cut an egg plant in to bite-size cubes, toss them with olive oil, salt and pepper and bake for 20-30 mins (375 degrees)..Yum! to be continued...
+pathofoblivion it doesn't matter if they are serious or not cause their are people in the world who would actually kill their self cause someone on the internet has told them to. why do think people take stuff like that serious?
this little clip was hilarious I cannot stop laughing also while you're talking about the Ghostbuster movie hasn't came out yet and this clip wasn't even about the Ghostbuster movie talk about what this clip was about it was hilarious.
absolutely love them. ❤ when new ghostbuster was released, I kinda sceptical with the movie at first. even though I'm already a fan of melissa mccarthy. But when I watched it at my local theater, I can't stop laughing. they're so funny. specially that short hair SNL girl.😂❤ good stories and humor. the appearance of chris hemsworth surprised me. 😂
You can most definitely see the division Kristen sees between respected millionaire Hollywood actresses and some comedians on snl. Even though she came from snl
