idk man, you don't live 200 years by constantly putting yourself in harms way. Most ghouls in the franchise were normal people when the bombs fell, and as we see in game most of them just get by like any other scavver (either avoiding combat or sticking in groups). Now with that being said you do get ghouls like cooper and it isn't too rare (ghoul NCR veteran rangers are apparently not too uncommon).

I may be wrong but not surethat every ghouls can maintain they sanity after centuries. Not all of them have a military training + experience in surviving in the wastelands.

He’s a Fallout tritagonist, of course he’s one of the most dangerous MFers in the Wasteland. Especially when his SPECIAL is from a game with a level cap of 99 or more.

@@doommastermclean8238 Well it does help that the TV series shows ghouls have incredible healing abilities. In the gun fight in Filly, you can see The Ghoul get shot in the back a few times and shrug it off. Then later in the series, Thaddeus pulls that arrow out of his neck like it was nothing. I liked that change to the lore. Now when I go back to a location in the games and find the feral ghouls respawned, I can just assume it was the same ghouls I shot last month but now all healed up and ready to go for round two.

The only weird part is there is no powerful faction with ghoul as the leader yet since ghoul can live for 100 years and more while accumulating governance knowledge. Or a billionaire ghoul running monopoly business in Wasteland

@@annoying_HK_guy In Rimworld you can commit cannibalism, thing is the way it works doesnt only gives you human meat but also human leather, which of course you can use to make apparel and sell it to traders So it became a common joke within the community to make money out of skinning raiders/tribals/whoever looked at your colony funny.

I don't understand how the weld issue is really that big of a deal, though? Real life vehicles have had and still have much worse Achilles heels and they're not considered rushed or poorly designed. I mean, in order to exploit this weld, you need to be a walking aimbot anyways with the right kind of weapon like Jeffrey Donovan Ghoul here. I mean, it's kind of like saying the Deathstar had a critical weakness when you needed tremendous skill to pull off exploiting it anyways. Far more likely what happened is that the leadership wasn't up to snuff and that Jeffrey Donovan Ghoul's friends were put into situations where the Chinese, who themselves had weapons like man portable gauss rifles and other stuff that could just crack open power armor regardless of shot placement, were throwing so much at them that the law of averages lucked out and dropped them.

@@VunderGuy The thing is that West-Tek, a private company that designed the power armor, skimped on safety to cut costs. This is a blatant shot at the real life problems you just mentioned by outsourcing military equipment to defense contractor corpos. Any time you put safety in the hands of a company that is always going to choose the bottom line over safety of the people using their equipment, you're going to get an inferior product so that they can save a buck. He then pointed out in this that the T-60, two "improvements" down the line, still had the same design flaw. This is obviously because West-Tek didn't even care enough to spend the extra money to fix it. The design in the game, almost cost them Anchorage, because the Chinese DIDN'T skimp on their armor. The stealth suits they wore gave them more than enough time to simply potshot away at power armored troops from a safe distance and completely invisible. Fish in a barrel.

For me it was all the exposed tubes, which are confirmed in the show to absolutely be weak points that can cripple the suit if punctured. I'm getting the impression this is the hidden factor that made T-51 and APA Mk1/2 so vastly superior to T-45/60 in the canon(versus how they're depicted in the games); on top of more rounded edges giving more chances for incoming fire to be deflected, neither T-51 or APA are shown to have many of these exposed tubes. In the case of T-51 they have two helmet tubes feeding into the respirator, presumably these are for the air filtration system and hydration(piss water) - in other words, probably not anything that would be crippling to the suit to lose. APA similarly only has these mysterious pipes/cables/whatever they are on the helm, however theirs are mounted on the back and appear to have three distinct purposes, rather than being obviously for filtration. So perhaps cutting these cables would be more crippling to an Enclave soldier similar to how T-60 and T-45 completely lose power when you cut the cables. (Thereby explaining why T-51 is sometimes depicted as being overall more protective than Enclave armor, at least in general)

It's no wonder the Crimson Dragoons (the Chinese unit that wore the stealth armor) scared the shit out of everybody at the Battle of Anchorage. That NCR soldier just walked up behind the guy in the suit, jammed a submachine gun in the neck hole and instantly killed him. Now imagine a bunch of soldiers in invisible suits with submachine guns and swords just walking around on the battlefield waiting to see your shiny power armor coming over the horizon. 😳

Cooper was fucking with Max. He was pretty much missing it on purpose and having the time of his life. It probably doesn’t help that his bullets were pretty much flat although we don’t know what he was using for his lever action.

No AP rounds plus that one armor is customized with the flaw being fixed. Which is why he seems confused when he shoot that armor.

It's hard to have badass dialogue scenes if the fight was like reality. Crocodile Dundee would have been stabbed by the crackhead well before he ever got around the bend to the whole "That's not a knife" part.

Infinite fusion cores actually makes more sense for the lore. Also the knights could have been scared shitless seeing a full powered armored guy die to one shot. And forgot to turn on the spotlight.

@@HowDyaYouLikeMeNow Yeah, but if you're gonna make the claim that Crimson Dragoons with their stealth and sniper rifle loadouts and aimbot aim were super deadly... they should be super deadly anyways without the welding really coming into play because, again, the weld isn't that big a target and even if the weld didn't exist the Crimson Dragoons should have been scoring kills anyways because they're stealthy meaning they have an advantage in dictating the terms of an engagement and, again, the eye lenses are about the same size of the area you'd have to hit to exploit the weld issue and are just ballistic glass and not metal.

You realise that if you have a maxed out "Rifleman" or "Gunslinger" perk that power armor is a minor nuisance, right? I think it's safe to say Cooper has both. You're right about the headlamp, though.

The BOS soldier lose their cool after seeing one of Power Armor unit went down easily, which that panic cause them to forgot their helmet light...... Plus it would make them a big target in the darkness Cooper being a pre war marine and 200+ years experience properly help him to figure out each BOS soldier location
