I love how they built his character too. They made him seem kinda evil (but for those of us who have played the games, we know that Vault-Tec were the ones who were evil psychos), and his whole mission is to rain hellfire on them in search for his family. Total badass. When he posed for the 👍🏻 picture, I got a chubby 🤣
@@lookhow2547 Still, the scene was bad within the rules of the show, and how the knights were presented to us. My guy conducted an entire monologue while they just stood there silently. Show or not, that was dumb.
Sound team did a great job imo! The clink of the gun closing, the heavy thump from the shot, the clink from the bullet impact, the second thump intermingled with dude's last breath and his blood splashing on the inside of the armor. So good!

Cooper is a Marine...probably qualified Expert or higher in marksmanship without breaking a sweat when he was active duty. Because first and foremost... every Marine is a rifleman.
Been a fan of walton goggins for a minute but with this role, he was absolutely and undeniably born for this role. I cant picture a more bad ass portrayal of the bounty hunter ghoul than this. The man nailed every aspect of it. I hope this is one of those shows that lasts for atleast 5 or 6 seasons if not more because honestly to many good shows end to abruptly or get cancelled after huge cliff hangers.
Not only was he a marine but he had 219 years to perfect his combat skills....and he's fighting people that don't really have any formal training to begin with
@@IcemanM16 He did remember in the first episode, however he wasn't facing T-45 power armor in the first episode as you claim. He was facing T-60, and T-60 isn't T-45, so of course he wouldn't think that T-60 has the flaw initially, it's a new set he has no experience facing, so he has to reset his thinking. Later on in the show he gets to test a theory in his head. This is called good character development.
@@IcemanM16 First off, he's American so he wasn't facing this armor. Second, he used T-45 armor, he said so himself. Third, the BOS use T-60 power armor, an armor the Ghoul never used. So he wouldn't know about the flaw until the war at the observatory.
I love that the guy actually looked down at his chest before the ghoul shot. Typically the brotherhood have nothing but disdain for outsiders. But this guy was smart enough to realize that the ghoul wasn’t lying to him, that he was speaking from experience, and in that moment, with that glance, he realized his only hope for survival was a missed shot. But of course, the ghoul didn’t miss.
Or they could’ve used their collective brain cells and fucking shot him, idk why they made the BoS so incompetent in this show, but realistically none of them would’ve let him monologue and casually reload in front of them.
@billqiu4692 It's probably more fitting for them to let him do his thing and [attempt to] fail. Think of it: the Brotherhood of Steel is made up of people who have experience dealing with raiders, mutants, creatures, etc. They all have many kills and battles they've been to (such as the Enclave's oil rig and Raven Rock), who have contained far more dangerous enemies the Wasteland had to offer than almost anyone. Letting Cooper stand there and talk is basically their way of being superior because they are under the genuine assumption that they have the upper hand in this. They outnumber him, both in Power Armor and personnel, they have many guns on him, and he is a ghoul, of which it's not like they haven't killed many of them before.
@billqiu4692 isn't that the point of maximus and the elders plan? They think the brotherhood has become too incompetent and greedy over the years, which is well shown in the show.

He is the most main character. Lucy is to hesitant (She would have killed about 200 people at this point if she were one of the games protagonists) And maximus is... maximus. He keeps fucking everything up somehow.
@@vlogchanel2184actually that would be the xo-3 which is the hellfire armor which is made for special units yes the xo-2 is mass produced but it would be slightly better than the xo1 since that was prototype while the xo2 was a finish product it’s like how t45 is a weaker t60 since they are both the same model just extra plating while t51 was the best suit of pa prewar since was made for more ballistics and energy than t45 since that’s basically like the first iron man suit made in the cave it was a last ditch effort to push back the Chinese sorry for the rant
The smooth transition between finishing his sentence, loading a round and firing. The pause between the round hitting, penetrating and then finally reaching it's human target on the inside of that armor. God I hope they keep this series EXACTLY like this and don't run into the dirt! It's exceeded my expectations by FAR!

@@TexasToast712 Safe to assume he's definitely dead. The Ghoul was upset because he'd specifically stated that armor got a lot of good men killed. So the defect wasn't just "Disabling" the amor. A shot to the weak point just straight up killed them.
@@TexasToast712power armors are like tanks, they can be disabled, but will always have another system still functioning, hit the treads, the tank can’t move but still has the turret to blast you, hit the turret, the tank’s been defanged but can keep moving to either retreat or act as mobile cover for infantry However, you hit the main body, you kill the crew, the tank will neither move or shoot anymore even as its treads and turret may still be functional, in fact, when you do that, assuming HE wasn’t used nor that it hit the fuel or ammo to cause an inferno to erupt from within, the tank should be somewhat operational and could be salvaged if not for having to fish out shrapnel from mechanisms and repairing whatever else was damaged in the attack In short, the power armor wasn’t disabled in the slightest, our ghoul here used what can be described as a HE AP round, the round punched into the main body, burrowed into the man within, then went boom, reducing the person within to sludge, he went for a crewman shot to disable the tank The PA itself should still be in ‘mint’ condition, unlike when he fought Maximus, the PA can be taken from the corpse and easily be repaired with just some welds for the next person, Maximus’ however would need more extensive exterior and interior repairs to be fully operational again
Honestly one of the best shows ever made in my opinion and I’ve seen all the ones worth watching and it’s only got one season so far ❤️ absolutely amazing acting especially from Walton ❤️ who is in my opinion one of the most underrated actors ever, it’s so awesome to sea him in a lead role absolutely killing it!! Definitely the actor that makes this show 100x more baddass
Glad to see Walton Goggins getting widespread love finally. He's been in a ton of great work but hasnt gotten much of a spotlight himself even though just about every role he plays is gold.
Seriously one of my favorite fictional characters ever. They adapted this series to TV about as well as they possibly could have. Can't wait for season 2
It's crazy that he's one of the last folks of his era after the bombs dropped and he's still himself. Mutated DNA and all,even as The Ghoul. Cooper Howard is still Cooper Howard, and that's why I love his character. Times changed but he still remained the same guy just with minor changes, because of how drastically the world changed around him💯
The second he said he wore a powerarmor they lower their guns. They propably wanted to let him talk so they might hear if he knows of any stashes/weaknesses. Well they got what they wanted. They learned a weakness.

Walton Goggins is the man. He kills every role he plays. He most definitely deserves all this Fallout hype. If anyone wants to see an epic film with Goggins go watch “The Hateful Eight” you will not be disappointed

İn this scene maximus understands ghoul just holding himself back in the town and trying not to kill maximus. Ghoul knows max stole the armor and ghoul olso knows max just a young soul who tries to be a hero
In this scene he loads different ammunition than what he was using in Filly. He went into this fight prepared to fight against Power Armor, but he wasn't in Filly. You could argue he didn't load any in when he had the chance because he knew Max wasn't trained properly and suspected it was stolen.
My theory of why he couldn’t kill Max is what he says on the vertibird to Tytus. He remarks about the tempered lining and he points at his stomach below his chest. The tempered lining fixed the welding issue, and he says “you went with” which means it’s not a upgrade on every T-60

Walter goggins was the perfect man to play the ghoul and I really thought that Dominic cooper was gonna play Mr. House. He really looks like the video game Mr. House
if i knew nothing about the fallout show, and someone showed me this, i’d be hooked instantly! still haven’t gotten a chance to watch it yet, and thankfully haven’t had too much of it spoiled, but this scene, this edit would get anyone hooked on it!!!
Best damn show for a game yet. It took the lore as is and ran with it without trying to put a "new spin" on things. Not to mention it answered a lot of questions.

Same idea from when guns were first being invented and full plate was still common, armour was still good, but a shot to the back of the knee or to a split in the midsection, and it was to heavy to move in as you keeled over or fell crippled lol. Power armor is counterintuitive to anyone with a big enough gun and brain
So basically they can still hit ya in the spots where it’s weak. Yet again he knows how the armor works. Just wanted to test to see if it’s still got the weakness. Guess it was 😂
