The queen has landed. Wearied from her perilous flight she sheds her wings, burrows into the soft sand and begins to lay. The first children of the nomadic Formica Ereptor must grow quickly if they are to survive. Soon the ants will embark on a vast and treacherous journey through thick jungle and scorching desert. We do know that bullfrog is the biggest natural titan, the only ones on par or slightly larger are well not natural critters in game. So while the size cap is known yeah the leaked potential titans are really interesting (not confirmed to be titans though)

well the tier 5 ant has already been decided, but hasnt officialy been released(a slug disco dev accidentally leaked it). but after the full release, the devs are thinking about DLC, sso maybe we can see them added?

for food storage, its best to have it near the entrance, and its super crazy efficient to upgrade instead of making more

If you look at the ant hill/nest at 35:25 you can see a handful of Fire ants fending off a bunch of bugs while the queen was evacuating. And they drowned along with the bugs. They are heroes for sacrificing themselves for the colony. They should get some sort of recognition for their bravery.

Dude the amount of times I’ve yelled at him in my mind is insane, like how he always puts his ants on not attacking or picking up food, and the soldiers aren’t free! If they are on the tile for a while they will hatch for free, but if there is food, and the egg is already on the tile, it will cost food!😡

Yeah that's why when I first got to do the Formicaraium 4 Challenge I used only fire ants since it makes more sense because of their titan climbing ability (not sure if the other ants species used in the challenges could do the same thing) and the fact the pervasive ants cost nothing after several seconds helps a lot more than the vigorous ones.

@@goldenplayz1582 thanks for confirming it. But even then I figured that since the formicarium update involved fire ants, I only used them. Took me two tries on EASY mode, that's how hard it is even on the easiest difficulty.

beaves remember fire ant have a special ability, if you upgrade a fire ant tile to level 3, you will get 2 ants form that tiles instead of one, plus they are both level 3, so it's better strategy to max upgrade your fire ants, and then add more tiles.

for this level in specific its actually not. the objective only wants more ants, and upgrades dont count towards that. so its better to spam ants, and its actually better to spam workers than soldiers as they are more food efficient.

Fire ant soldiers only add 1.5 to the pop meter (lvl 3 tiles only provide 3) while 1 worker tile adds 1. So it is way more efficient to spam workers that it is to upgrade fire ant soldiers. You only need 80 fire ant soldiers lvl 1 to access everywhere on the map that isn’t flooded and kill the blue shimmer so that is the beach mark before worker spam

@@meepswag35 while that is true, in the beginning where food is more limited and ants are few, it's better to have 2 level 3 fire ant, instead of 3 level 1 fire ants, just because level 3's are more powerful. but that is just my experience

@@johannesjuhl8500 well not really for this level. It’s still better to have more ants than upgraded ones on this level, I’ve beaten the level in insane without upgrading any ants, and the speedruns and challenge runs for this level don’t upgrade ants.
