Here for Mo Gaba day 1 year later! I hope the Ravens keep the gold "MO" in BALTIMORE in the end zone forever. It'd be nice if people ask "why is the MO a different color from the rest of the letters?" and people could tell them about the legend that is Mo Gaba and keep his memory alive.

@@shocktrauma85 I went to the draft day party which that year was in the Inner Harbor, due to stadium renovations, there was a big crowd chanting Mo's name. He had a street in Baltimore named after him and he's only the second fan in the Orioles Hall of Fame, next to a Cabdriver,. Wild Bill Hagy.

I started liking the ravens in 2012 when I watched the Blind Side movie and found out that Michael Oher was a raven. Since then I’m a ravens fan for life 💜

Here's one for ya. (I've been a Baltimore sports fan since 1956.) When it was clear that Irsay was going to sneak the Colts out of Baltimore, members of the Colts marching band broke into the complex and stole all the uniforms and some other band equipment. They kept the band together, making appearances at events from time to time. Many of the members stayed with the band until Baltimore got the Ravens. They were among the founding members of the Ravens band. That's a story of great faith and determination, too. Some nostalgia: For a few years the Colts practiced at my school. I got to meet Lenny Moore, Johnny Unitas, Raymond Berry, Gino Marchetti, and the most fun guys of all, Jim Parker and Artie Donovan. I thumb-wrestled Artie once. That was a laugher! When I was on the varsity, the Colts' locker room was right next to ours. You really get a sense of the power of these guys when you can stand just a few feet away from them when they were practicing. I was standing near Dave Lee one day while he was practicing punts. When not under pressure he could kick them 65 to 70 yards. I could feel the impact in my gut. I went to the other end where Alvin Haymond was receiving the punts. He was a real rocket. When he took off I could see dirt from his cleats flying about ten feet into the air. You just don't get those kinds of impressions on TV or from the stands. If you've read this far, thanks for indulging an old sports fan. And yeah, Mo was a real raise-the-roof kid. It's great what the Ravens did for him.
