Giora Feidman, now age 85, plays Duke Ellington's Caravan with three terrific string players. After 20 years in the Israel Philharmonic, playing the clarinet solos in Schindler's List, Feidman is at home in many genres and is a celebrated musician and ambassador for peace.
This really hits home, is in the family. My mother, a professional dancer, Danced to this onstage solo always !along with Harlem nocturne and Misirlou, she started out in vaudeville at the age of six, in 1926. Who r the players with this beautiful clarinet.? On the other side of my family my Jewish father played bass with Kenny Burrell and cello with Detroit symphony orchestra. This is a beautiful version! Rehearsal no less!? Thank you so much for sharing. I was even lucky to Meet Kenny, after my dad died, and he remembered him. Before that I met Duke Ellington twice and his son Mercer. As I was dating Harold Minerve, one of his saxophone players. 🙏💜☮️🎶♿️🎻
