Whatever what your horse actually weighs his total feed weight is about 2% of his bodyweight. I may be wrong in my first estimate, the horse might just be 150 kg in total bodyweight so he needs just 3 kg of total feeds, 2.2 kg of grass and 800 g of horse concentrate. But I doubt the horse would eat concentrate immediately in the beginning, give the horse concentrate or grain, premixed with vitamin and mineral powder is small amount, little by little to the horse until it becomes acceptable or palatable to the horse day after day. Grass is like eating cooked rice to humans, and horse concentrate or grain is like viand or chicken or fish or pork to humans, but it had to be introduced to us as humans when we were toddlers or small children. Babies were given mashed veggies first before viand or solid food was introduced at a later stage of their lives. It is the same with animals even small pigs. Every new kind of feeding to any animal must be done slowly until they get used to it, to avoid feed rejection or digestion problems.
