I am not a fisherman, but Hookers looks like a really fine way to spend a relaxing day with a book and a beer or two - I am not really a drinker, but on a beautiful day at a beautiful lake, a beer is just the icing on the cake. Then down to Shooters on Soi Seven to socialize to brag about my catch of the day(or not)! 😊😊
4,100 baht @ approx 42.56 £ = £96 😟 as much as id like a days fishing, there is no way I’d pay that sort of money- plus you’re taxi fare, food & drink and you are looking at an expensive day. Maybe it should include inclusive all you can eat and drink for this sort of money. I remember Kev in thailand (God bless him) showing a fishing park/lake around 3 or 4 yrs ago and it was around £30- 40 for the day. Thanks for showing us all the same Trev 🙏🇬🇧
not a fisherman maybe the price is down to the lake not being stocked with small fish but just bigger ones which command a higher price ? i expect there more expensive to buy in the first place
@@Buzzinpattaya, I know people who have travelled to Thailand just to fish, I get it but not for me. I've been to one of the big fish lakes and did not enjoy it, I can sit by the river or pond in my garden all day and catch nowt but have a great day. Size isn't everything or so I keep getting told 😊. I would like to know though why fishing in Thailand is so expensive.
I'm in Pattaya in a couple of weeks and have a day booked at Hookers, nice to get a look around before I turn up as I haven't fished it before. Doing a day at Wasana too which I fished last year and is an amazing place, caught plenty!
@@johnspartan4617 not sure if she’d want me to be looking at hookers, no matter which city they were in! 😁 (jokes) I’m glad to say I’m single and saving myself to return to Thailand.
About 12 years ago my son took me to a commercial fishing lake near Pattaya where they looked after you.A guy baited a rod for me to cast and about 20 minutes later the rod bent to contain a very large cat fish that Thai helper net landed i for me to photograph. No need to brag at over 3 foot long and heavy as most are. Some one said most of these cat fish have scarred lips caused by being hooked so often.Nowadays I have just taken up fishing again in a local canal and happily land and return Perch,Roach,Bream etc. Thanks Trev for another interesting vid.By the way please do Bang Chang and Rayong!
I was looking to go fishing when I come out but not at £100 a day. Do they just hire rods without the need for "guides" for those of us who do fish and what price would that be, or is a one price deal? Thanks in advance 🍻🍻
Truthfully I don't know the answer but there is a link to their page in the description of the video please have a look and get in touch with John directly
Give me a break your not a fisherman. You have the right bait with those two girls to get ANY big one. Now that place { because I like to fish } and Shooters { because of the bait } are now on my places to visit when cruisin' through Pattaya this winter. Good video.
Thanks for showing an interesting and fun thing to do when visiting Pattaya! I'll be making my first trip to Pattaya in a few moths and will check this place out. 🙂
Thailand is not recognized as a fishing destination, which I found surprising. I occasionally venture to FL Keys which is as good as it gets. Looked into Jurassic Park in Cha Am. The packages are expensive and luring to a different experience catching some monsters. Thailand is just not a destination for sport fishing if you can't reel in a Dorado ( Mahi Mahi.)
Hi regarding the flooding in Pattaya one of the main problems is that the surface drains get blocked with rubbish ,debris and for unknown reasons drains gratings are frequently covered by old pieces of carpets hence restricting the water actually going down the drains. The new expensive system city hall have install can only deal with water that actually gets underground. Like your streaming immensely Trevor regards Leigh
The drains combine storm water with sewerage, that's why the drain covers get covered. The smell is terrible. Most countries isolate their sewerage from storm run off.
Ha ha nice one, expensive but ok for once in a while but I do love fishing and I know there were about half a dozen smaller places round Pattaya/Jomtien that were from about 5 quid a day but I don't know if they are still open, one of them was stocked up with Barramundi that they would cook for you on site, be good to know if any of them are still available to fish.
Trev sound video. I was a novice I did palm tree lagoon 7 half year ago because my m8s was into master fishing. I booked everything myself and correspond with owner.....told him I'm a beginner never fished b4 etc etc "no problem " we help you. Got abuse from my instructor and owner when I was pulling a fish in......ffs. That put me right off after that.....never fished since. .....proper jack ar$$3$. John on your video seems a nice guy trev. Cheers
The same thing happens to me every time on a paid fishing trip - not a single damn bite! By the way, every time a girl tells me that she is from Bangkok, I ask: well, where did you come to Bangkok from, dear?
Haha worst fishing review ever, funny and entertaining. But man u do not like fishing do you 😂 They place looks beautifull, will definitly try to go there in Nov. Thanks for the effort! 😂👍🏻
You have this strange idea that you can somehow make fishing sexy or at least a bit more fun than sitting about watching the end of your rod. Introducing a couple of nubile and beautiful ladies doesn't change the fact you are there to fish. Your desperation to try to get any excitement out of fishing is easy to see. This isn't so much a finished video as much as a failed experiment to see if fishing was interesting. I am surprised you didn't try casting because you could have made that more interesting. Who can cast the furthest (you or Ian)? Sea fishing is more about what you catch rather than whether you might catch anything at all and if you catch something in the sea it will probably be edible.
Mate I am gonna be straight with you now, your continued negativity is wearing thin, sad but true. you continue to berat me and constantly moan and I will simply just make your life far easier and block you on all platforms rather than continue to give you the opportunity to be so miserable and negative. FFS lighten up and enjoy life for the fun and laughter it can offer you, Ian wasn't even there this was some light-hearted fun maybe you should try looking it up in the Google directory.... end of conversation!
I like your videos but the way you talk to women is off. You speak to them as if they were dogs. You talk at them instead of to them. Everyone deserves respect. You should know this kinda thing after 68 years on the planet. Still like your videos but wow the way you speak to women is just off.
WoW, 2 comments on the channel and both to bash Trevor, the previous one was in regards to Trev being witness to an accident, there was responses and you didn’t dare to answer back… So You still like the videos but never comment on them… so only negative stuff is what turns you on I guess…
No disrespect meant, there is something about the way you interact/speak to the Woman, I wouldn't say it was "off", or disrespectful, but more awkward, uncomfortable, probably because you have to think quickly on the spot as you are filming, but there is something
Crazy price to catch ,If you are lucky boring cat fish.I have fished many times in thailand. It was more to do with going somewere different to have a beer. But it was never more than 300 baht.Even the beer and food was not expencive.Easy to see why that place was empty and will stay empty.Imagine turning up there and they ask 2700 baht for a few hours.Your having a laugh.Im off.
@@Buzzinpattaya I did not see anything i did not expect to see.I told you .I have fished in thailand many times. And you do not have to wait long to catch big fish. But the fishes only fight is there size.Far more fun catching smaller fish with more fight. The place was far to expencive. And not realy a place to take children.Im happy that you told the prices. It will stop people wasting there money on the taxi fares.
@@Buzzinpattaya I remember back in the day Mr 99 on beach road, 200 bath and you could fish for prawns have beers and helped by some lovely ladies to put your bait on the hook, then you get to have them cooked and eat them, pfff 4,100 bath way to expensive
Thanks Trev - good vid but need to give the girls a break tho. Not sure anyone explained to them what was going on, and recreational fishing is not part of Thai culture.
I am sorry for that. I am an uneducated guy who is who you see. No frills, not etiquette just me. If my lack of vocabulary angers you then maybe my channel.is worth giving a miss...... It's fine
