Julia Suriano (Fredrika) singing The Glamorous Life from A Little Night Music by Stephen Sondheim in Manhattan School of Music's main stage production directed by Carolyn Marlow
I'm a little bit confused: are there two versions of this song? This one sung solo by Frederika, and the other one with Desiree and the chorus singing la la la?
This is apparently a fusion of the original song from the stage version, and Sondheim's rewrite for the movie (which is the version Audra does). It's an excellent song, and given Fredrika's importance in the stage version, it's nice to give her a little something extra.
Ordinary mothers lead ordinary lives Keep the house and sweep the parlor Cook the meals and look exhausted Ordinary mothers, like ordinary wives Fry the eggs and dry the sheets And try to deal with facts Mine acts!
No, this is A Little Night Music, an adult musical comedy by Stephen Sondheim. Actually, this song was not in the original score, but was taken from the 1972 film version, and combined with the stage musical version of it, which got caught off before we could get to it.
who ever the props person is in this course, needs to be talked to, the set and the costume is period for the music, the book in her hands is series of unfortunate events, it should either be sheet music for the piano, or a book that is letter bound and looks period. Other then that this young women hs a fantastic voice and hope will go far with it.
