Here in Ireland we had a lot of HINO trucks on the road Concrete mixer's and Tipper's and they where the best you chould get for building work but now you can't get any new HINO trucks because there engines are not Euro 5 and 6 so now it's Renault, Merc, DAF and a few others and nutting but problems with them because not tough enough for site work. I wish the E,U whould feck off with all the crap and let us work.

Housewives used to make one for each member of the household and mark their initials on one end of the pasty. The miners carried their pasties to work in a tin bucket which they heated by burning a candle underneath.

Chris, the best penetrating spray I have used apart from plus gas is mixing 50/50 in a spray bottle nail varnish remover and ATF, works a wonder.

WW2 helmet fact, Sorry to correct you here mate your sort of right with the helmet situation but the reason they didn't wear the chin straps is because in those days they were verry much likely to come into hand on hand combat so the reason for this was because if the enemy were to approach them from behind they would have put their hand over the helmet say grabbing it where your forehead is and pull your it backwards which would snapp your neck instantly, imagine the back of the helmet digging into your neck from behind and the chin strap keeps pulling ur chin and head upwards when the helmet won't let it because it's digging into the back of your neck forcing your neck to break befor the steel helmet!! In those days you were more likely to come into hand combat than a bullet to the helmet as the rifles wernt verry accurate back then, Another little lesson the royal marine commando's got the nick name boot necks because they use to take their toung off their leather boots and tie it around their throats so Germans couldn't slit there throats from behind as the commando's were allways fighting behind enemy lines or on the front line doin the bulk of the fighting, back then the commando's were like a secret fighting force abit like the SAS

You wanna oil them guns, air tool oil is best, but any hydraulic/engine oil/wd40 will do. Them compressors love to blow moisture out

I thought the chin strap thing was if the strap was done up and a bullet hit the helmet it could go through it but when the strap was undone and a bullet hit it the helmet the helmet would deflect the bullet and come off the head
