The Glitchtrap Virus: FNAF's Shadow Ventriloquist 

I agree. They should have added some Easter Eggs in Security Breach to make Glitchtrap's presence clear. They did have some scrapped lines from the Security Bots that would've given some clue (like one was 'I always come back') but I wish there would've been flashes on the monitors or screens with Glitchtrap in them. I also think even having a point with Vanny talking to him through said monitors at some point would work well.

I'm actually okay with Gregory being Patient 46. I thought, at first, that it was stupid that a middle school kid would be doing all of this--but it makes more sense with the fact that Glitchtrap was likely controlling Gregory during the events of GGY. And killing a bunch of people is good old William fashion

The scariest thing about glitchtrap is that it shows who William really is. There's no mask to hide behind, but rather the perfect embodiment of his insanity. That sinister smile, something that watches you in the dark, behind you, with corrupt intentions, is truly terrifying... And maybe it shows what he really had and has on his mind, a reason why he does what he does... a little dance. A simple, but important detail

Honestly, I think it would be interesting if Glitchtrap started to branch off from being just a shard of Afton's soul to his own thing with his own goals and motivations. Like, he takes the Spring Bonnie persona and look, and uses it for himself, starts to either identify completely as a psychotic version of Spring Bonnie or uses a new name entirely (either just Glitchtrap, or other names like The Prankster, or Malhare from j-gems). Hell, both Vanny and Glitchtrap/Malhare both could take inspiration and ques from Afton, but would wind up breaking off from him and doing things themselves, abandoning him. If Afton really had to come back, I'd have preferred him to be more broken down, little more than a immobile wreck that Vanny and Glitchtrap commune with for orders and pointers from Afton early on, but because Afton's all burnt up and impatient with them both for not immediately killing Gregory, he gets angry with them too often, and by the end they kill Afton's final body, and take up his place as the main murderer(s), doing things on their own, but with inspiration from Afton's methods. That way Vanny and Glitchtrap could take up the reigns from Afton, and we can move on from Afton's story without forgetting him completely.

I literally thought "That has to be one of the coolest easter eggs in the whole series!" and then you said the same thing right after. I do also really like the concept of Glitchtrap, really hope they do more with it.

Fun fact: glitchtrap does actually talk but very slowed, speed it up and you get tape girl's voice line "hello? Can you hear me?" Showing that he was her the whole time. I think a reason why I love glitchtrap is due to how he acts. He's always slumped over head cocked one way or the other. He moves so lifeless yet overly life like at the same time, taken from funtime freddy's description the perfect description that glitchtrap can be given to is "something kids love but parents would be uncomfortable with"

Having the STAFF and the Bots make odd vaguely familiar statements to previous lines spoken by William and then after breaking them have the voice actors directly quote William while trying to imitate PJ Heywood's portrayal of him after decomisoning the bots would have been absolutly amazing.

There's not that much wasted potential. It's not like the glitchtrap is gone for good, Burntrap is literally just Glitchtrap controlling Scraptrap's corpse. The Glitchtrap virus is still in Vanessa, the FNAF AR animatronics, FNAF V.R.H.W., and in the servers of the mega pizzaplex.

If I'm being honest, Glitchtrap is the scariest iteration of the Trap animatronics. Idk I guess with all the other animatronics, there's still this sense of uncanniness that cuts my immersion off in a way that lets me know the other animatronics are fake, because they aren't real. But Glitchtrap? Glitchtrap LOOKS authentic. He looks like an actual person in an actual suit.

I think it's funny considering nobody wanted another burned version of afton in sb and wanted to see more of glitchtrap, like how he possesses the pizzaplex and what the boss fight would look like for him. I think they really shouldve taken Glitchtrap cause there's so much you can do with him. He IS scary, that's what made him stand out. And they just threw that away. Besides it doesn't make any sense why afton would want to go back into his old rotten body. Glitchtrap had so much potential and he was really strong. They could've given Vanessa more screentime since Glitchtrap would be still possessing her

I still frimly believe they could have had Glitchtrap without having Afton directly involved. A glitch inserted in the system by Patient 46 with the directive of making the Pizzaplex more creepy, he evolved, taking the data stored by Fazbear Entertainment about the tragedies of the past and morphing in a caricature of Springtrap. It would go so well with the "are you having fun yet?" Vanny keeps telling Gregory because the glitch was intended to make the Pizzaplex more eerie and, so, fun for the one who created the virus.

I think of Afton , Gregory/Michael, and Glitchtrap in this context. William is the magician and he pulls a rabbit out of his hat. His son, Gregory/Michael, is the beloved heir. Another master of animatronics. This does mean one little thing that everyone overlooks. Afton and the Rabbit are different people entirely. The rabbit needs Gregory because he knows Afton’s skills and secrets.

my question has always been, if the goal was to rebuild afton in a new body with the glitch why rebuild him already burnt and damaged? there is no reason to do that over just transfering the virus to a generic endo that's not damaged

I theorize that the Afton virus ( Glitchtrap) got into the Storyteller A.I and is writing the Scripts for everyone involved, especially GGY. Making "characters" turning the Animatronic into "Aggressive, Children" and GGY into his "favorite Apprentice". So Everything in Security Breach is a Westerworld-type script.

I feel like instead of Afton just coming back, Vanessa should've just been this Afton Fangirl who worked for Fazbear Entertainment and created an AI malware that's trained to replicate Afton's actions and mindset, and snuck it inside the game

Glitchtrap is not William Afton. This is who is more powerful and powerful than the purple guy with his incarnations. Glitchtrap is an errand demon. He is in bondage to Afton and wants to get free. Any business for which this rabbit undertakes does in the best possible way and to the maximum. And the level of cruelty is not limited. I'm sure he'll be able to escape sooner or later. No hell can match what Glitchtrap feels in virtual reality.

And while you may be generally happy with security breach, we most certainly are not: for while the FNAF franchise may have primarily released horror themed games and while this game certainly can have horror elements in it: everyone already knows that at the very least the 4 glamrock animatronics are helpless victims who have been infected by a computer virus and are being controlled by the actual villains of the game; everyone already knows that the Pizzaplex is an amazingly cool place that should remain standing and could maybe even be a “sandbox” for the player to play in with the animatronics; and perhaps other players; etc. and if this DLC is what it appears to be (another example of horrible horrid negative distressing destructive bullshit based upon anger and fear) then now is the time to act and I implore anyone reading this to let Steelwool studios know that they have gone too far!..and need to add AT LEAST an actual happy ending in which the animatronics are saved and the Pizzaplex is left intact…I personally will not be buying the game until they actually do. In fact I have sent Steelwool studios an email asking them to make such an ending in which nothing horrible happens to any of the animatronics; the pizzaplex is left intact; and the player frees and saves all 4 of them instead: if anyone else would like to send them an email as well all the needs to do is go to the contact section of their website.
