Hope you guys enjoy the video, and most of all hope you're all happy and well and having a great 2022 so far!
The “daughter/niece” joke with Nina is actually an inside joke for the developers. Apparently they couldn’t decide whether Nina was Cortex’s niece, or if she would be his daughter.
I honestly believe that Twinsanity is like The Room of video games. It’s so chaotic and a clusterfuck yet it is extremely fun and ridiculously hilarious. Hell I even find the glitches funny. Except for the elevator glitches, they can die in a hole 😂 🕳
I also think that the randomness and the crazy gameplay ideas that mostly come out of nowhere is part of the charm of this game, it could have use some more polish before its release but it's still a fun and short messy game.
Great entertaining review (as usual) I love Twinsanity for it's music, gameplay, writing, graphics and overall nostalgia. Hopefully the next Crash game will be similar to this one.
@@MrJarheadTV Maybe insane but it's the best game I've ever played this game never never makes me fail to laugh it may have never been the game they wanted but we like it how it is and the soundtrack is the best in any crash game and yes it is a glitchy ass game and a rushed mess but this game still slaps today
Multiple parts of this game used to make me cry as a kid out of frustration 😭. The walrus chef section used to make me so upset that I’d feel like he was too good to get away from lmao. I literally felt like he was so good at catching me that I was afraid of him irl 😂😂😂
This game is written leagues better than I.a.t. and that’s the hill I’m gonna die on. But don’t take that from me, Let Cortex show how it’s done. I can only imagine how much MORE of a wild of a rollercoaster it could’ve been had it gotten the time / resources they wanted / needed.
When you climb walls with Nina, you should hold Circle, not press it, that's why it's not working for you. Also, you CAN explore that part of the 10th dimention, it's just Iceberg Lab, with no rocks, different textures and glitches.
I've always held circle and it still would give me problems sometimes. And I know you technically can explore it with glitches and all that but that's just like eh what's the point, I just wish we got a properly fleshed out area in the finished game.
Great review dude, just gna mention 2 things. 1. Twins on emu is severly more buggy than on console, especially when you played it 2. Ninas hook can actually work consistently if you let go of the analog stick when you press the circle button :)
A really well-made review about the game. There are only a few gems like this. Kee up the good work, hope you'll soon get more attention✌. Twinsanity is also my fav. Crash game, even with the huge amount of scrapped ideas. This game stepped out of the og formula, and nailed it for me.
If you ever beat the final level again... there is a trick to that grappling hook. I don't understand WHY but here: Most grappling hooks you can move your character (analog stick) at the same time as you are grappling. But for SOME REASON the final grappling hooks at the top of the towers in the final boss don't allow that. If you move your character / analog stick at all then you cannot use the top grappling hook on the towers... so basically just push the button and let the grappling hooks momentum carry Nina to the hook and just wait for the right time to push the button without moving Nina at all.
Brilliant video, content was amazing! Just subbed and am about to binge more of your vids. Twinsanity is up there with sly racoon as my two favourite childhood games, passing the likes of other greats such as Simpsons hit and run, sonic heroes, jak 2 renegade, and so much more. Nostalgia hits hard bro.
It definitely does! Crash and Sly are probably my two favorite gaming franchises ever (maybe Ratchet and Clank instead of Sly). Glad you enjoyed the video and subbed! 😁
I found your channel just yesterday and I've had a really good time watching your videos since then, especially the Sly ones, and I still got some more in the bookmarks. And as far as Twinsanity goes.. I'm pretty sure this game drove me insane with that gosh darnit walrus. My thumb hurt so much after all the attempts of running away from the bastard, and I'm pretty sure I suffered some brain damage too. But I still had a pretty good time, I think. I bought the game when I was especially thirsty and desperate for more Crash. And it sure was an experience unlike any before. I'm still digging the N. Sanity Island theme.
Twinsanity is something else for sure, it's crazy how challenging the walrus chase still is to this day after playing that game for almost 20 years. It's awesome to hear how fun it's been for you watching the videos, thank you!
BLAST OFF UP TO THE STARS WE GOOOO AND LEAVE BEHIND EVERYTHING I USEED TO KNOOOW SOMEBODY'S GIVINGG ME A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY TO DOOO WHAT I THINK I WANT TOOOO SO WHYYYY I AAAAM STILL FEELING BLUE!??????? OOOOOHHH WUAN AND DONDO!!!!!!!!!!!
Another great video! Would you be open to reviewing the Rayman games in the future? Also, I liked the story about your dad saving a level for you. The way that level itself looked reminded me of this N64 game I played years ago called Tonic Trouble.
It was fun rewatching these videos Still hope you do review about Spyro hero tail And maybe in far future doing about crash titans series and especially the legend of Spyro series that IF you love baby level beat up combat
I may cover A Hero's Tail in some capacity at one point. Probably not it's own dedicated video but maybe part of a compilation of reviews covering Spyro games after the trilogy or something. Same with Titans and Mind Over Mutant
23:13 Nina missing the last grapple hook in the final boss is 100% an emulation issue that has never been solved, even on the PS3 if you emulate the game this glitch will happen and the game is pretty much unbeatable on the PS3 because of it, while on OG PS2 hardware/older versions of the PS3 the game runs way less glitchier. And nina missing the hooks is never an issue.
You can do it if you do not move Nina. Like do not touch the analog stick, just wait for the button push to use your grapple hook and Nina will move towards the hook anyways, for some reason moving Nina disables you from using the grapple hooks at the top of those towers in the final boss.
For the longest time, until we got the great crash renaissance of the late 2010s, this game was my favorite post naughty dog crash game. Although I think wrath of cortex is fine and not a trash heap, it felt like crash 3.5 and not a full sequel. I first got this game thanksgiving 2005 and ngl little kid me got stuck in the n gin boss fight cause I didn't know what to do and the walrus chase made me lose so many of my lives cause you sometimes have to pray that you dont get killed by a bottomless pit or flame. But regardless of all the obvious flaws, this game is like that childhood friend you like keeping tabs on every now and then, yeah they're weird/rough around the edges but you know deep in their heart they mean well. Also the final boss theme I LOVED, I remember back in 2011 during my junior year i downloaded that song and put it on my ipod and jammed all day. I finally beat this game january 2008 i think on my old ps3 that I used like 5 times in its life before I sold that console years later
Now that you mention it I think I got stuck on the N. Gin fight when I was younger too lol. I love the childhood friend analogy that really is a great way of describing how I and I think a lot of people feel about Twinsanity!
I played alot of tag team racing in those days too but twinsanity was the better experience. I liked how you paced your video this time, the beginning was a new structure and that Walter white driving to the CNK music got me laughing alot
Yeah I spent a lot of the time playing TTR when I was younger too. I have fond memories of it which is kinda funny considering everyone seems to hate it and whenever I end up revisiting it I'll probably end up feeling the same. And I'm glad you liked the gag and the new structure of the video too. I thought it would help keep people's attention a little bit more with the way I did it this time
Yeah I'm just messing around I'm glad you understand lol, I love 2 to death but all the other games I've played so far are decent to horrible. I'll definitely be revisiting the original trilogy one day to see if I've warmed up to 1 and 3 since I first played them
My least favourite out of crash ps2 games. Titans and mind over mutant were my favourites from that era despite how bad people look at them! So underrated I think!
I haven't played Titans since I was like 8 so I don't really have a solid opinion on it but I look forward to revisiting that part of the franchise one day
Okay, stellar review, I agree _Twinsanity_ is magnificent beast of strangitude... ...but what on Earth is that wrestling match from at 22:47? 😂 I need to know!
@@MrJarheadTV Thank you, kind sir! Ngl, perfect comic timing with the bit cutting in, but also I laughed way harder than I should have at just this ring full of folding chairs. 🤣 It's like a Blues Brothers gag.
For those still not knowing Puzzles were supposed to use a different type of explosive that you wouldn't be able to tank with Aku Aku But that explosive obviously isn't in the game so it was replaced with Nitros instead, nerfing Aku Aku to shite
What is it with games always being said to potentially be "the greatest game(s) of all time if it/they had *enough* time"? Crash Twinsanity, Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 - or hell, the entire modern Sonic series in general - Jak 3, the Spyro series, Sly 4, the Far Cry series, Cyberpunk 2077...I'm not the only one seeing this pattern, right?
I think with Twinsanity it's something that gets brought up so much because it's a game that's so obviously rushed / broken. For me games like Jak 3 or Sly 4 don't fit that same mold because they're much more finished products, so it feels like they're much closer to / have already reached their full potential.
@@MrJarheadTV That is understandable...That being said, I've seen multiple people talk about the potential of the games that came out as it with its hidden/unknown concepts finally being shown. It's honestly kind of sad how every company has basically been going with this "time is money" hive mindset. On a totally unrelated side note, love your crazy edits, they make me laugh hard as hell. XD
@@Flashguy4826 Yeah it's a shame how many games have been hindered all because of devs being crunched to meet release dates. And thank you! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed 😁
Twinsanity definitely got a lot of stuff wrong, yet the wrong is what makes the game enjoyable. I’ve never seen a rushed game be as good as this one. And that should say something. Point being, wanna be best friends?
Never played twinsainty but i got enter the dragon fly. I did like the 3 classic crash game's made a video on crash 2 and i played crash 4 it's ab out time. But good review you have your style and it's very well done.
