the glory is a BRILLIANT work of korean television and television in general. excellent script, excellent premise, perfect execution and the casting and acting are all TOP NOTCH

2:24 Cultural background: In Korea, when you return from a funeral or want to shake off a misfortune, your family sprinkles 'salt' on you as they believe it dispels bad luck. That's why her mother sprinkled salt on her daughter (in this scene, a little too strongly than a normal level though)

I can't wait to see your reaction for the whole show! With this one, there's lots of foreshadowing and hints and almost everything comes full circle

So they bribed her mom to change the reason for her dropping the school. In her initial document she mentioned that she's leaving because of bullying and even lists her tormentors. This of course would affect their future prospects in life. At that point it was only thing a poor victim could do, yet her mom changed the document and wrote maladjustment as the reason, which means she blamed her own daughter and helped the bunch of bullies hide their crimes. Furthermore, she took all the money she got and just vanished, leaving her all alone.

There was no principle in any scenes of the show. It was her homeroom teacher who came and got her at the police station, acting as her ‘guardian’ (responsible adult), ir was he who yelled at her over the phone to come in and change her withdrawal form, and it was the same homeroom teacher who rolled up his sleeves, took off his watch, and slapped her around, when she refused to comply.

I've been meaning to check this show out too but bullies REALLY infuriate me so I just waited until part two came out. I think I'll skip the first ep though (at least the upsetting flashback scenes)
