I think this will be the 1st set I'll collect. Was never into Pokemon as a kid, I was a YGO player, but my nephew got into it and I got into it for him. He wanted a 151 box and I got him obsidian flames (thought they were the same thing my bad kid) to start a master set cause he saw a PokeRev vid. Stores stopped carrying 151 after that and his parents say he got too many Pokemon. Maybe this set can be our thing. He loves to trade and swap.
My far off hope for the TCG is we split from scarlet and violet and return to the TCG exclusive lore based sets. Holon era is incredible, and I think this is the best chance we have. 2 year run for scarlet and violet, then 1 year of Tcg exclusive region and lore
Absolultely! I recently started finishing up my full delta species collection, such a cool mechanic. Tera somewhat fills that but only for fully evolved mons.
Amen. One of the coolest things about dark/named pokemon was that they had functionally different names, so you could run full lines of each. Makes deck building more fun when you can run things like Venusaur and Erika's Venusaur together.
Filling the gap year with sets based on all the different evil teams would be so cool. Rocket for gen 1/2, then a set with aqua, magma, one with galactic and plasma etc! We've never had pokemon cards for the gen 6-9 teams so it would be a great opportunity to give them some love
It would be so cool to se another R set! I'm a huge fan of the original, this couldn't be more exciting ^^ And your comment about the games being delayed is true for sure. Hopefully the next games are a bit more representative of the biggest medis franchise.
Gen 10 releasing at the 30th anniversary just makes more sense from a marketing standpoint as well. Fingers crossed for straight up reprint sets to coincide with the anniversary as well.
Most of my Jamboree questions are tied to the relationship between Pokemon and WotC back in the day, so I'd have to go directly to the employees to get that info.
