This season, Road Rash has accepted an ambassadorship with @GORHINOPRODUCTS We are so excited to partner with this amazing brand, innovating and developing excellent quality steel products for off road and overland vehicles. In this video, we are installing and reviewing their new E1 Electric Running Boards for the @Jeep JK.
After installing a 4" lift on the Road Rash Jeep, my wife was struggling to get in and out of the rig. In a quick act of desperation, I ordered a set of cheap tube style sidesteps to help her get in. After living with these for about a year, I realized these step sides only lowered the footing by 4.5". This was still very much a struggle for my wife. In addition, they were made in a very cheap material and they bend very easily, adding next to no protection to the Jeep while off roading.
The Go Rhino E1 Electric Running Boards sit very high and tight to the side of the Jeep, providing extra clearance while off roading, however when the door opens, the side steps automatically lower to just 17" from the ground, providing an excellent and easy step for my family to access the Jeep.
As part of our partnership with Go Rhino, they are offering every fan of the Road Rash channel a large discount on their website (up to 30% at the time of this video). Just input ROADRASH at checkout.

Considering buying these but worried about off roading with these? have you taken them out yet on rough roads?

Hey Brewster... sorry for the late reply. I have been off roading with these many many times. I have taken it to Windrock, Gulches, and several other off road parks. They held up great...... except I did break one of them off when I was doing a "man made" rock garden obstacle at Morris Mountian. The jeep went over a large rock and came down on the step sides. I found out quickly they are NOT Rock Sliders. thankfully it did protect my Jeep and did not get any damage to the Jeep but it broke the motor holding on the step side. I contacted GoRhino and explained what happened and they immediately sent me a replacement motor at no cost, no questions asked. All in all, most of my adventures are off road trails and overlanding, perfect for these. I would not want to rely on these at Moab or the Rubicon trail.

Did you have any trouble with the door sensors i can't get mine to work? I have tried everything.

I did... mine was not working either. i spent some time on the phone with tech support (very responsive by the way) and found out the magnets are very very very sensitive. Try just touching the door receiver with the magnet in your hand (not attached to the door) and see if it works. With mine, I had to put a thick piece of rubber behind the magnet to push it closer to the receiver and it worked. Also because it is soooooo sensitive, there is a EXACT SPOT for the magnet to go to trigger the door. Essentially the magnet and the receiver have to be very close. Once I found the right spot, it works 100% of the time without fail, but it took me about 30 minutes of adjusting position to find that spot.

Okay thank you but mine is acting like the sensors are not getting power. I guess I need to call the help line.
